The Deep Desert inDune: Awakeningis a harsh and unforgiving landscape, which makes it much more of a challenge than Hagga Basin. However, if you have a stockpile of Duraluminum, you can craft better items and gear that can help you deal with the heightened difficulty.

The problem with this crafting material is that it can be dangerous if you’re not prepared for the journey to make it. On top of that, creating this resource needs a few ingredients. Some of which are easy to find on Arrakis, while others will pose more of a struggle. To learn how to easily make Duraluminum, plus where to find all its components, you should read this guide.

How To Get Duraluminum

The first thing to note about this crafting material is that it sharesthe same quality as Steel: You’ll needother resources to make it. As mentioned, some ingredients may be challenging to get to because of where they are.

Here’s what you’ll be needing to create Duraluminum:

How To Get Water

Gathering water should be the easy part. You can harvest it from a few sources, such asfallen enemies with the blood extractor, water plants, your stillsuit, and more. Then, if you bank up water with themedium-sized Water Cistern, you’ll almost never run out of the resource.

A good way to have a constant supply of water is to use aFremen Deathstill. Every enemy you kill, you can bring them back to your base and extract large amounts of water from their body that way.

How To Craft Aluminum Ingots

To make Aluminum Ingots, you’ll need to look in specific locationsforAluminum Ore. You can find zones with high drop rates in places such asthe Eastern Shield Wall. Plus, it also seems likecertain POIsin the region could yield Aluminum Ore as well.

Once you find an Aluminum Ore pile, break it down usingthe Mk3 Cutterayor a similar tool. Afterward, with theMedium Ore Refinery, you’ll be able to make Aluminum Ingots.

How To Get Jasmium Crystals

Jasmium Crystals will be the hardestof the three ingredients to acquire. To start, you need to be inSheol, located right under Mysa Taril. This area is in thesouthwestern section of Hagga Basin. Before going out to the region, there are a few things you should know.

First, it’s ahighly radioactive area. You would need at least theMk4 Radiation Suitto slow down the effects of the radiation. Second, this region ismostly open desert with very few rock clustersto keep you safe from the sandworm.

Alternatively, if you don’t have access to a Radiation Suit, the other option would be to find and useAgave Seeds. They won’t be as protective as the Radiation Suit, but they can help keep you alive longer.

It’s recommended to usean Ornithopter to get around Sheol. It’s a faster vehicle, and it’ll keep you safe from sandworms while roaming the region. However, you’ll still need todeal with radiation.

But, on the other hand, due to the speed of the Ornithopter, you’ll get out of harm’s way faster.
