The world of Arrakis is faithfully recreated withinDune: Awakening, with its various tribes and allegiances fighting over control of the desert planet. As you explore Dune, you’ll be able to collect resources to improve your chances of survival, as well as complete quests and other objectives for some rewards.
Early on, in the tutorial stages of the game, you’ll undertake the Scrap Mettle series of quests, which introduce you to the Contract Board and completing missions for contractors. In one of these quests, you’ll be tasked with finding a Holtzman Amplifier, which can be tricky to find unless you know where to look. How To Start Scrap Mettle: Wrecking Crew
you may start this Contract after reachingGriffin’s Reachand completing the first step ofScrap Mettle: Copper Required. Once you’ve done that,Wrecking Crewwill automatically start.
Scrap Mettle: Wrecking Crew Quest Walkthrough
Your first objective for this quest is to make it to theWreck of the Alcyon, which can be founddirectly to the east of Griffin’s Reach, withinHagga Basin South, a little over a thousand meters away. If you take the path to the north, cutting around the rock formations, take care to avoid sandworms.
Be sure tostock up on waterbefore you depart!
Once you’ve made it to the Wreck of the Alcyon, head inside andfight your way through the Scavengersthere so you can loot in peace. Depending on how long it takes you to loot the Wreck and find the Holtzman Amplifier, theenemies may respawn, so be ready.
To find the Holtzman Amplifier,start at the main entrance to the wreck, then proceeddown the right side of the shiptowards the back. Go into theroom with the yellow globe hologram, then continue to theback wall. The Holtzman Amplifier is found in asmall chest against the back wall.
Loot it, then begin to make your way back to Griffin’s Reach to deliver it. Once you’ve done that, the next step of the quest, Fremen Finds, will automatically start.
