To celebrate the launch ofThe Sims 4: Enchanted By Nature, the base game has a free event, Nature’s Calling, which allows players to earn some nature-themed items. These include clothing, furniture, craftable items, a tattoo design, and a new recipe, as well as simoleons and potions. Complete the quest chain once using any Sim, and you’ll unlock them all across your account.
The event is now fully unlocked, and you have until July 13, 2025, to complete it all. Although there are some optional quests which use DLC, you only need the base game to complete the event, so why not use our handy guide to jump in and earn the rewards with ease.
The optional goals allow you to complete the event faster and earn some additional consumable items. All the main items can be obtained just by completing the base game quests. The DLC used for additional quests is: Cats & Dogs, Horse Ranch, and Lovestruck, as well as any DLC with a purchasable tent.
Week One Quests And Rewards
There aretwo quest chainsin week one,Whispers on the Wind and Attuned to the Echoes.You will unlock the followingrewards:
Optional(Requires Lovestruck)
We recommenddoing any optional questions first, since the questchains will complete without them being doneonce you’ve done thelast main quest in the chain.
To complete the first task, head on over toany park which has a pond.You’ll need tolocate the fishing signand click this to select’Go Fishing’or ‘Fish with Bait…’ As soon as yourSim begins fishing, this task will becomplete.
Next, locateany bench in the park. Click on it to see a new event-specific interaction,‘Listen to the Wind’.Select this and wait for yourSim to sit and listen.The task will becompleted after a few seconds.
You will likely find that the main task ofspending time outdoors has also been completed.If it hasn’t, simplystay in the park a little longer.You’ll need to be there foran hour of in-game time.
Optional Quest
To complete theoptional quest,you’ll need to go to yourhome lotand thenpurchase any Romantic BlanketfromActivities and Skillsin Build mode. There are three types and theyall cost $250.
Once you have the blanket,place it on your lot. Click it and select’Set up picnic’then choose a food item.
Youcan choose another Simto join you, butthis is optional.Once your Sim hasset up the picnic and sat down,the task will be complete.
For the first task,any Sim is fine.Simply start a conversation, thenselect ‘Ask about the Whispers’from the social menu. Once you’ve completed this,click on your own Simand you should see’Go Jogging’.Select this to go for a jog andcomplete the second partof the task.
It’s easiest totackle the third tasknext byclicking your Simagain and this time selecting’Cloudgaze' or ‘Stargaze’.The option will change depending on the in-game time.
You’ll now need toreturn home.
Remember tocollect your rewardsby opening the Nature’s Calling menu. You can do this byclicking the icon of leaves on the windin the top left corner of your screen.
Aftercollecting your rewards so far,you’ll now have theReclaimed Woodworking Table. Go into build mode topurchase one for $500 from the Activities and Skills section, and place it on your home lot. You’ll alsoneed this for the next task.
Your Sim now needs tocraft two sculptures. Anything appears to count for these,not just the items specifically named sculpture,but if you’d rather play it safe, then choose something from underthe craft sculpture submenu.
When the second item is finished, so is this first week of tasks.
Week Two Quests And Rewards
Once more, there aretwo quest chainshere,Enigma of the Cove and The Comfort of Nature, and therewards are:
Foundry Cove is in Willow Creek.It’s the neighborhood where the BFF family live, and is in thebottom right of the map. To get here, the easiest way is tovisit the BFF household.Once here, you’ll find that, as before, thespend time outdoors task will be completedwhile you aredoing the others.
From theBFF householdwalk down the cul-de-sac towards thestarter homes.Just off the main path which continues to the river is adirt path between the lot next to BFF and the other starter homeat the end of the road. Follow this path and justbehind the first tree there is a rockyou can dig.
Justto the sideof this rock is atree which always stays green, even in autumn, and hasfungi and tendrilscoming from it. This is themysterious tree.Click it, and thenselect view.
If you don’t already have a dog, the optional quest is a lot of hassle and the most you’ll miss from the event is an all-trait potion.
Thefinal task is simple. Go to yourhome lot, open build mode and look for theBack Pocket Observatory.It costs$750and is underOutdoor Activities.Place iton your lotand then click toselect ‘Look for Signs’and the task will complete. As before, if you want todo the optional quest,do itbefore this one.
If you want toadopt a dogthen select thephone iconin your taskbar and chooseHome > Call Adoption Agency > Adopt Dog.You’ll then be able to choose a dog andadopt it for 200 Simoleons.
Once you have a dog, simplyclick on the dogand choose’Go for Walk’ or ‘Ask to Go Potty’from the social menu. If it’s apuppy,you’ll only be able toask it to go potty.
Thetasks for this quest chainare as follows:
Hot Tubs are in theOutdoor Activities section of build mode. If you only own thebase game,you’ll need to purchase theBirthday Hot Tub for $3000. However,Perfect Patio ownerscan choosePringo’s Heater Hot Tub for $1500instead to save some Simoleons.
You’ll need toclaim the Flowing Fronds Swimwearand create an outfit using it increate-a-simbeforeselecting the hot tub and choosing ‘soak’.
To purchase a tentyou’ll need Snowy Escape, Outdoor Living or Star Wars: Journey To Baatu. Assuming you have one of these, you canpurchase one from the Outdoor Activities section.
The cheapest tent is the Easy Camper Tent for $420 from Outdoor Retreat, and Snowy Escape has the Canvas Cabin for $420. However, the only option from Journey To Batuu is the $1200 Resistance Tent.
Place the tent on your home lotand choose’Sleep’ or ‘Nap’to complete the tasks.
Nature Aspirations
In order to complete theNature Aspirationyou have a lot of options. The DLC required is noted for each one:
We recommend one of the base game options as these are the easiest. Choose from:
Freelance Botanist
Level One
This is simple to do on your home lot. You canpurchase a garden pot for $50from theOutdoor Activitiessection of build mode. Once this has been placed on your lot,in live mode, click the potand select’purchase seeds’.These are$31 a packet.
Purchasingtwo starter seed packetswill give you enough to plant and water ten things for an easy completion of this aspiration for $111. You canplant all seeds straight into grass or dirtand don’t need extra pots.
If you prefer, you canharvest plants from the neighborhoods, for example, in the park behind the BFF lot, and plant these instead, but this can take longer.
Angling Ace
For locations,every neighborhood in Willow Creek has a fishing spot, marked by a sign, along the river.
Simply travel along the river,catching one or two fish per location, and this is ano-cost, easy to completeaspiration.
The Curator
You cangain collectibles by looking for frogs, digging stones, searching dirt pilesand more. The more DLC you have, the more options there are. However, this is themost time-consuming base game nature aspiration,so we recommend either of the others.
For the final quest, go back to yourwoodworking tableand chooseCraft Furniture > More Choices… > Reclaimed Wood Dining Chair.These willcost you $37 each to craft.Once they are done, this week’squest chain is complete.
Week Three Quests And Rewards
Two more quest chains,Secret Sands and Symphony of Serenity, reward you with the following:

These can all be done in one place, so travel toDesert Bloom Park in Oasis Springs.
You should be able toclick on any patch of sandandselect Draw…‘then choose a pattern to draw, eithera star or a face.After this task is completed, you need tohead over to the cave.
The cave is at the back of the lot. From theback of the main park building and pondwalk upwards, with thecliffs on your left.As you venture further up the map there’s asmall fishing spot with a large rocknext to it. At the top of the water isa pathwhich goes upbetween a huge rock and the cliffson your left.Follow this pathuntil you hitanother fishing spot.
You should now be at theback of the lot. To theright is a small open areawith seating and a grill, and to theleft is a pathup a hill. Goup the path,and you shouldsee the cave directly in front of you. The entrance has atimber frameand will beboarded up.
Simply click on the cave andchoose ‘Investigate the Cave’.You can’t do anything else here just yet, so goback down to the pond.
Click on thewater at the pondand choose’Look for Frogs’.It doesn’t matter if you catch any or not, the task will be completed after you’veperformed the action twice.
By now, you should have alsocompleted the spend time outdoors requirement,but if not, just hang around the park a little longer.
Make sure to claim your rewards. You’ll need some of them for the next quest.
Firstly, goback to your home lot.You should have thewoodworking tablestill from the earlier tasks. From here you can chooseCraft Furniture > More Choices > Reclaimed Wood Table.To craft it willcost $157.
Once this is done,purchase any grill from build buy mode.Simply go toOutdoor Cooking,and you may get theCarbonette Charcoal Grill for $650.Place it outside and thenclick it to select Grill…followed by the food of your choice. Anything is fine, butgrilled fruit is the cheapest.
To complete the final task,purchase a stereosuch as theKaboom box for $150.Place iton a table or dresserin your Sim’s bedroom.You’ll need toselect ‘Listen To…‘then go through the menu tofind Nature Soundscapes.
Stations are listed in alphabetical order, so you will need to hit more once or twice, depending on how many stations you have.
Once thestation is playing, simply make your Simsleep in the bed,to complete the task.
Week Four Quests And Rewards
Thefinal twoquest chains areEchoes From the Cave and Plants Can Whisper?These reward you with:
If you miss all the optional quests, you will not be able to claim the re-traiting potion and may not be able to claim the 10k Simoleons. I only did one out of four optional quests and could claim up to and including the 10k. Given how far off I am from the final reward, I estimate that completing two out of four optional quest chains will allow you to claim all items.
TheWooden Throne is an outhouse, and the recipe is an event reward, somake sure to claim it. To craft itselect the woodworking tableand chooseCraft Furniture > More Choices… > The Wooden Throne.It willcost $500to craft and you’ll needhandiness skill level 8.
If you’ve not yet got, this you can:
To cheat,press Ctrl + Shift + Con PC orall four shoulder buttonson console. This brings up thecheat code text box.In here, typetestingcheats onand thenpress enter.Once cheats are enabled, add the codestats.set_skill_level Major_Handiness 10and press enter. This willmax out your Handiness skill.
While you only need level eight now, you’ll need level ten for the next stage, so it’s easier to max it out now.
You’ll need toselect the item from your Household Inventoryin build mode andplace it somewhereon your lot.Click on the outhouseandselect Use Bathroom.you may alsowoohoo inside the outhouse,if you are that way inclined.
Dukes Hallis the park in theNew Appaloosa neighborhood of Chestnut Ridge.You’ll need theHorse Ranch expansionfor this, but it’s very simple if you have it.
As soon as youenter the park lot,the first task will be completed. Tocomplete the second halfyou won’t even need to move.Zoom out, and you’ll see theEquestion Center is behind where you spawned,directly opposite the park building.
Click the buildingand choose’Spectate Competitions’ between 7am and 7pmto finish thefinal part of this optional quest.
Next, head back over toOasis SpringsandtoDesert Bloom Park.
You’ll need to goback up to the cave at the back of lot,where you went before. This time you canchoose ‘Break Open’, as long as you havelevel ten handinessskill.
Once the cave is open,select ‘Explore’ and then the following:
You’ll then get aconfirmation boxto enable your Sim totravel to the Forgotten Grotto.Once you’vegone through this process onceyou’ll see anoption to Travel To Forgotten Grottoby clicking on the entrance.
Itdoesn’t matter what you take a photograph of. you’re able to take a regular photo or a selfie by selecting yourMobile Phone,then going to’Camera’ and ‘Take Photo’,or any of the other similar options. As long as you areinside the cave when it is takenthe task will be completed.
You’ll nowneed to leave the areaand go andfind two Sims.Once you find them, simplychoose ‘Share Findings about Forgotten Grotto’from the social menu. You’ll need todo this with two different Simsto complete the task.
Plants Can Whisper? Walkthrough
This final quest willcomplete the eventand lead you ona journey to discover Plantsims,should you so desire. Here’s what you need to do:
To purchase aMagic PlantSim Stump, go toOutdoor Activitiesin build buy mode, and you’ll find it for$410.
Searching is often the best way to find specific items in build buy mode, especially if you have a lot of DLC. The search bar is at the top left of the catalogue.
Place the item on your lot,which requires a 4x4 space, to complete the first task.
Next,find two Simsand use the social menu to’Ask about PlantSims’.You’ll find that they willgive you a magic bean.There aresix of thesein total.
Once you have spoken to two Sims and completed the task, go home andplace one of the Magic Beans in the tree stump.
