The Tides of Terraria update added a huge variety of Pals, including some new Alpha bosses toPalworld. Some of these Pals can be quite difficult to find and even more of a challenge to catch unless you know where to look for them and what weapons or Pals to bring in order to weaken them.
Neptilius is an incredibly cool-looking Pal that is incredibly powerful in battle and also great at helping you out at the base. Its partner skill also makes traveling across the ocean a breeze. However, before you can catch it, you’ll have to fight against it, and doing so is easier said than done.
Where To Find Neptilius
Neptilius can be found on the Isle of the Glacial Core. This place isat the 139, 651 coordinates, northeast of the Tower of Pal Genetic Research Unit and northwest of the Duneshelter. You can easily spot this place from afardue to the gigantic Pal statue.
Once you’ve arrived at the location, you can interact with the Sealed Realm of the Glacial Core on the ground toinitiate the boss battle with Neptilius. Doing so will teleport you to the boss battle arena where you’ll fight against Neptilius.
How To Fight And Catch Neptilius
Neptilius is a level 60 Water element Pal, and it’sweak to any Electric element attacks. If you want to catch it, make sure youbring a few Ultimate Spheres. It has a total of 5,453 HP, but tons of armor, so you’ll need to bring the best weapons that you’re able to. A Plasma Rifle can also get the job done to quickly bring its HP down.
Most of its attacks cover a large area, but are slow, so you can dodge them easily if youdon’t stay in one place for too long. Any level 60 or aboveElectric element Palscan also be a great help during this boss battle.
Once it’sdown to at least 1,000 HP, you can start throwing Ultimate Spheres at it. Defeating Neptilius will grant you the Neptilius Bounty Token, one Ancient Technology Point, nine Ancient Civilization Parts, 30 Pure Quartz, 15 Polymer, and 15 Carbon Fiber.
you may also get Neptilius to hatch from theHuge Damp Egg, which will eliminate the need to fight against it, but you’ll still have to do it for the Bounty Token.
Neptilius Partner Skill And Work Suitability
Neptilius' Partner Skill, Sentinel of the Great Sea, allows you to swim across any body of water. Neptilius' swimming speed is also faster than most other Pals with the swimming ability, but before you can ride it, you’llneed to craft the Neptilius Saddle, which can be unlockedfrom the Technology menu at Level 63, and you’ll need the following items to craft it:
If you’ve crafted the saddle, Neptilius will also help you out by doing follow-up water spear attacks on your enemies.
Neptilius has a level four watering skill, so if you deploy it in your base, it will be able to handleany tasks that require watering with maximum efficiency, making it a great asset on the base if you have a crusher set up in your base to turn stones into Paldium Fragments.
