Final Fantasy 14’s Itinerant Moogle events happen every so often and offer a chance to collect rare and exclusive rewards, like Mounts from Extreme Trials, Minions from difficult content, Orchestrion Rolls, or new items like cosmetic accessories.
Before you may get all that tasty loot, however, you’ll need to collect Irregular Tomestones, which are exclusive to the current Moogle event. These can be gathered in a number of ways, like running certain Dungeons or completing specific challenges. For the Hunt for Allegory Moogle event, you’ll be tasked with catching a Chirurgeon, so that’s what we’ll show you how to do below.
How To Find A Chirurgeon
The Chirurgeon is aRiver Fishfound inCentral Shroud, so your best bet is right near theBentbranch Meadows Aetheryte in Central Shroud, at the river around(X:22, Y:21). Luckily, this fish hasno time or weather requirements, so you can show up at any time of day and attempt to catch one.
You’ll need to beat least level 50 in Fishingto find and catch a Chirurgeon, but the higher your level, the easier it will be to catch.
How To Catch A Chirurgeon
Before you start Casting, you’ll need to pick up someMoth Pupa bait. you’re able to buy this bait from Admairanda, the Tool Supplier, inOld Gridania (X:14.4, Y:10.0)for just asingle gil each. Stock up on a few in case the fish proves difficult to find.
Once you have your bait, head to theBentbranch Meadowsand Cast your rod. Use your Moth Pupa to look for aStriped Goby, which is asingle exclamation pointreel.
Use Mooch on the Striped Gobyto use it as bait for the Chirurgeon. This is the only way to find this fish.
You can useMooch 1orMooch 2, depending on the size of the Striped Goby. Either way, use this fish as bait until you get a3-exclamation-pointreel. Once you’ve reeled in your Chirurgeon, don’t forget to claim yourten Irregular Tomestones of Allegoryfrom the Mogpendium.
