How To Increase Your Carry Capacity
When you first start playing Death Stranding 2: On The Beach andget through the prologue,you’ll already start delivering orders with a 120kg capacity. This might seem like a lot, but just one XL cargo container can almost fill this capacity halfway. Moreover, if you get past a certain weight, the number on the screen will turn orange.
As you carry cargo closer to your maximum weight, you’ll start losing your balance a lot more often, making it difficult to keep your containers unharmed. Thankfully, there are four simple ways to increase your capacity:
You can see the current level of your Carrying Capacity stat byopening your map and choosing Sam’s Statsfrom the left menu.
Unfortunately, it’ll bequite difficult to have over 1,000cg Chiral Crystals during the early gamesince you’ll constantly be using them to fabricate items. As for the Chiral Antigravity Device, you can craft it on the fabricator by heading into backpack customizations and then components.
How Increased Capacity Helps You
If you want to check the maximum weight that you can currently carry,you can head over to your map and take the cursor on top of Sam’s position. This will give you information on both your current weight and the Chiral Crystals you carry. If your carried weight exceeds the maximum, Sam will start moving very slowly.
With increased weight, your movement speed will also increase even while carrying a bigger batch of items,and you’ll have an easier time navigating the difficult terrainsince you’ll lose your balance less often.As you progress through the game, you’ll have to carry more basic items like tools and weapons as well, and increased capacity will help you with that.
