Up until this point, one ofRaidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Armycore mysteries has revolved around the Red Cape and its hidden identity. Thecreaturehas caused havoc around Tokyo, and in Act 2, it’s time for Raidou Kuzunoha to go face-to-face with the foe.
Being so early on, the Red Cape can be a formidable enemy, but we have you covered, as we break down its affinities, skills, and movements, putting you in the best position to emerge victorious.
How To Capture The Red Cape
Before battling the Red Cape, you’ll need to capture it— and it’s a slippery little thing. You can keep running to the location that it’s marked on your map, but the monster will keep fleeing, so you’ll need to use your smarts.
You’ll find a taxi by the stairs leading up to the overpass. This is the key to capturing the Red Cape.You’ll need to shove the taxi into the gap, blocking the Red Cape’s escape route. To do this,you’ll need a demon of the Fury Order.
At this point in the game, it’s likely you’ll have access to Obariyon, Turdak, or Oni, each of which has the ‘Use Force’ Investigation Skill.If you interact with the taxi, using the Force skill, it will be pushed, blocking the gap. You’re then free to pursue the Red Cape until it runs into a dead end.
The Red Cape Affinities And Move Set
So you’ve captured the Red Cape, but now the real battle begins. It’s a member of the Monster Order, and you’ll need to take advantage of its weaknesses to be really successful.

Looking at the above, it’s clearyou’re going to want to avoid using Fire and Mind Skills and demons, and instead,focus all of your energy on Electric attacks.
Red Cape Moveset
The Red Cape has a range of skills in its arsenal, many of which afflict status effects and deal elemental damage. They are as follows:
Mind damage and Dizzy status to all enemies in line.
Slightly restores user’s HP
Mind damage and Rage status to all enemies in line
Teleports user to a random place on the field.
Taxi Throw
Teleports into the sky and throws a taxi at Raidou, dealing major strike damage.
Best Demons And Raidou Skills For Red Cape Battle
Naturally, given the Red Cape’s weakness to Electric attacks, you’re going to want toinclude demons from the Volt Order in your party. At this point in the game, you’ve likely only unlocked two or three: Agathion, Raiju, and Tsuchigumo, so you’ll want to go ahead and use two of these for the upcoming fight.
In terms of Raidou’s combat skills, you’llcertainly need the Volt Sign equipped. Alongside this, you’re safe to include both the Wind and Frost Signs, or any Sword Skills you may have unlocked at this point. We went with Empty Wave.
With these equipped and your new-found knowledge of the Red Cape, it’s time to face the boss head-on.
Red Cape Battle Guide
You’ll need to be ready to pick your moments in the Red Cape battle, knowing when to be on the offensive and when to retreat and defend.
Defensive
The Red Cape is an incredibly aggressive enemy in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. It’s quick, and its attacks cover both close-quarters and long-range combat, so you’ll need to be ready to dodge as much as you can. Thankfully, though, many of its moves are very well telegraphed.
When it uses Frustration and Doubt Beam, a path of light appears in front of Red Cape, showing you exactly where to steer clear of. A similar thing happens when it levitates and launches a taxi your way.It’s pivotal that you dodge these.
When the double exclamation points appear above your demons, be sure to make them immune.
Offensive
To start, you’ll want to ensure thatboth of your demons are set to use their magic attacks, as these are going to do the most damage to Red Cape. It’s your job then to draw the enemy’s attention, while keeping your party’s MP high.
The best play is to keep close to Red Cape,mixing up your light and heavy attacks, to maximize damage and MP restoration, and to build your Spirit Meter up as quickly as possible. The second your magic attacks recharge, you’ll want to use them, resetting the timer so you may use them again as soon as possible.
Remember to keep an eye on your Spirit Meter as once this is full, you’ll want to make use of your devastating Spirit Slash.
As the fight progresses, Red Cape’s movements get more sporadic, meaningyou’ll have to time Raidou’s spells to perfection, especially the Volt Sign, as this is the most effective spell in your repertoire.
Red Cape has a Weakness Shield, which means it can’t be stunned by exploiting its weakness. Instead, you’ll be able to stun it after dealing enough consistent damage. When stunned,you’ll immediately want to use the Devil’s Bane attack, and thereafter, we recommend solely using heavy attacks to really maximize your damage output.
Repeat this process multiple times, and you’ll emerge unscathed from your battle against the Red Cape, and the next part of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army’s mystery will begin to unravel.
