Which Demons Should You Bring To The Mishaguji Boss Battle?
The danger with Mishaguji is not only in its outright offensive damage, but in the fact that it will regularlyinflict status ailments on Raidou and his demonsthroughout the battle. While you may have let most of your demons lean into offensive damage and status-boosting moves when fusing new demonsin the Goumadenthroughout the game, hopefully you’ve kept a few goodSkill Order devilsthat knowPatrato heal your ailments throughout the game. Their HP replenishing moves will certainly come in handy as well!
A major caveat in this battle is that Mishaguji will Charm and take control of any devil you have on the field, so you’ll want to bring demons that are strong into the battle butbe prepared to heal Raidou with itemswhen the tides turn, as it’ll be three against one until the status ailment wears off. You know your devils' attacks, so you’ll know how to avoid them as well - ride the wave of the confusion before regaining control.
In terms of offense, you’ll want tobring Frost Order demonsthat are able to use good ice magic, as this can easily exploit Mishaguji’s ice weakness. That said, Mishaguji takes no damage from electric or death magic, soVolt and Pagan Order demons may want to sit this out.
Not only are you dealing with a slew of status ailmentsin the fightagainst Mishaguji in Episode Eight of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, butMishaguji has a colossal HP pool, which means it’s just as much a battle of attrition asit is outright skills. Bring the demons capable of dealing your most powerful ice magic attacks, checking the Devil Chart in the Goumaden to see whose Magic stat makes them a worthy addition to the battle.
How To Defeat Mishaguji
We’ve emphasized before how critical it can be in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army to know when to keep your distance between you and a boss before, butMishaguji has some violent close-range movesthat can deal a good amount of damage to Raidou and his shikigami, so anytime you can keep Raidou back a bit and rely on ranged moves fromyour Summoner Skill list, the better.
Not only are the moves dangerous in a range, butMishaguji uses several status ailmentsto stagger Raidou and his demons in the battle, ready to use one early on and unveiling another about halfway through.
It relies largely onCharm and Stun, two rather frustrating ailments, which are:
A good way to work around your demons being Charmed is tolet your MAG run out when your demons are Charmed. Since they’re no longer on your side, why would you want to give them the power to either hurt Raidou or heal Mishaguji (if they know any healing magic)? The effect is only temporary, so if you notice your MAG is running low, but you’re fighting on your own against your devilsandMishaguji, it may be wise to reduce how the demons are able to attack.
That said, both of these status ailments come in the form of moves with a relativelylimited range, which adds to the urgency of keeping a distance between Raidou and Mishaguji when possible. If you can attempt to keepattacking from the sidewhen you have to be near the demon, you’ll be able to avoid the moves it fires in a straight line in front of itself. This doesn’t mitigate the area of effect moves, but with the Charm attack hitting the enemies in front of Mishaguji, it’s always a good thing to avoid if you can!
When you’ve chipped away at Mishaguji’s HP, it’ll begin using a new move that cansend Raidou and his demons flying across the battlefield. That thing has a pretty powerful tail, dealing moderate physical damage and knocking you back quite a bit. Even if you’re trying to block this move, you’ll be struck, so it’s bestdive to dodge its tail moveto avoid taking damage and being moved across the playing field.
A good way to handle what’s coming your way in the Mishaguji boss battle in Episode Eight of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is tohave a demon that knows Patra and several powerful ice moveson the team, even if it means teaching someone something new by way of skill books. Youcanride out the wave onthe status ailments, but why not try to heal the team? Do so and keep chipping away at Mishaguji’s HP until it goes down to end both this boss battle and the eighth episode of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
