Episode Seven is one of the cooler chapters ofRaidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, with Raidou afflicted by the curse and seeking to rid both himself and the gods of this plague. To do so, though, you’ll need to hold your own against Hitokotonushi.
This boss has not one but a staggering four different forms, each of them with their own affinities. Hopefully you’ve got a slew of powerful demons with good Magic stats for the Episode Seven boss battle in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army – you’re going to need them in this fight.

Where To Find Hitokotonushi
You’re in the thick ofEpisode Seven: The Cursed Detectivewhen you come up against Hitokotonushi, who serves as the boss for this chapter of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. With Raidou on a mission to dispell the barrier keeping the curse on the god back at the Nameless Shrine, you’ve been sent intoDark Fukugawa-choto investigate.
After you’ve tricked the brothers into sharing the location of the talisman and fought the mini-boss to break it, go back down to the southern section of the area and return to thevacant lot, the large empty area in the center of the southern path near the river. There’s an Aril Rift here in the real world, and it’s also where you’ll do the Case File that results in allowing you to fuse Hayato.
There’s a Dragon’s Fount and Nakisawame tear near where you trigger the battle against Hitokotonushi in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, so be sure to heal up,visit the Goumadento grab the right demons forthe fight ahead, and save your game before beginning the battle.

While Hitokotonushi being of the Wind Order may lead you to want to lean into your electric magic during this Episode Seven battle in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, you’d do well tobring an assortment of elemental skillsin your repetoire when choosing which demons to include in your tubes for this battle. With the boss' affinities changing as it depletes in HP, you’ll need to have a good spread of damage types available.
Raidou can cover each of these forms' weaknesses with his Summoner Skills, but it’s wise to use a good spread of demons that have high Magic stats to lay on the right kind of elemental damage. Additionally, Raidou can’t use death magic himself, so you’ll need to rely on a demon or two for the final stage of the battle.
That said, keep conflicting affinities in mind, because Hitokotonushi cycles through kinds of elemental damages between forms. Ice, wind, fire, and death skills will all be coming your way, so be prepared to defend against weaknesses or heal demons as needed via Skill Order demons or your slew of items.
How To Defeat Hitokotonushi
Hitokotonushi may be a Wind Order demon, but you’ll be fighting throughfour individual stagesof the battle, during which it will consistentlyswitch affinitiesas its physical form changes. This happens roughlyevery 25 percent of its HP, so keep chipping away at one form to goad Hitokotonushi into changing, and be prepared toswap your demons out as neededto continue hitting its inconsistent weak spots.

For the most part, you’ll notice thatHitokotonushi uses magic in proximity to itself, so you may want to consider hanging back and opting forranged versions of the magic it’s weak toduring this fight. If your demons have any of thethree-directional magic movesthat strike the enemy’s weakness in the current stage, it’s a good time to command them to use it on Hitokotonushi.
It’s also a good time to get some distance between yourself and Hitokotonushi anduse Raidou’s Summoner Skillsto hit each elemental weakness during the first three stages of the Hitokotonushi boss battle in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
The final form complicates this plan of keeping space between Raidou Kuzunoha XIV and the Episode Seven boss, since most of yourphysical skills require close range. Your demons will gladly storm right up to the final form of Hitokotonushi and lay into it with these phsyical moves if youuse demons with good Strength stats in the last stageof the battle, but you may have a few Sword Skills unlocked that can help during this phase, too.
When organizing Raidou’sSummoner Skills list(which you can do in the middle of battle from the pause menu as needed), look forphysical damage moves that attack from a distance. You’ll find a few that send a beam of physical damage at a distance, which allows you to keep Raidou out of the radius of the ever-dangerous Mudo, which - while impossible to be fatal - can rapidly drain your HP and make you an easy target.
