Some racers are more suitable for shorter sprints, asthey may run out of stamina while covering huge distances. However,if your Umasume has enough stamina, they can even run on long tracks.

What Is Inheritance
Umamusume: Pretty Derby features a Legacy mechanic, which lets youborrow stats from racers you previously used in Career Mode. The stats you obtaindepend on the sparks those racers got during their career.
You canchoose up to two legaciesset up by your previous racers, and the legacies you attached to those racers before starting their career will act like a sub-legacy in your case.
You cannot choose the same main legacy as your Umamusume, but if they are a sub-legacy for a different racer, then they can give you additional stats as well. Your overall compatibility will be shown after you pick legacies. Try tokeep the Affinity within the circle symbol, and avoid it being crossed, which shows incompatibility.
