Spare a thought for theHollow Knight: Silksongfans in your life who are, at this point, just feeding on scraps. Following yet another snub at Nintendo’s recent Partner Showcase, things started to turn sour in the community, withfans sharing that they feel"Team Cherry constantly disrespects the community."
you may’t keep a good Skonger down, though, and the community is so back, with the game getting a number of backend changes on Steam, indicatingsomethingis happening — we just don’t really know what.
Hollow Knight: Silksong Just Got Four Backend Changes On Steam
Over the last few hours, Hollow Knight: Silksong has seen four changes onSteam’s backend. The changes have seen the ‘ChangeNumber’ rise from 30399348 to 304000359. Now, we don’t actually know what these numbers represent, but the fact that they are going up has to be a good thing becausesomebodyis doingsomething.
Today marks the first time in a few days that the number has risen, following an update on August 1, and the three days preceding it.
WhileSteam updates are becoming a relatively common feature for Hollow Knight: Silksong, four in a single day (with potentially more to come) is less so. The last time this happened was over two months ago, on June 3.
Naturally, many members of the Silksong subreddit used this as an opportunity to get excited. “We’re up to four updates. It’s gotta mean something. Praise the Peahen, final stretch,“saidRaakone2. However, while some used it as an opportunity to have fun, pessimism could still be felt among those desperately waiting for the game.
“So what? When did any of these ‘updates’ lead to anything?“saidone disgruntled fan, with anotheradding, “This is like a bunch of addicts taking another hit. The drug is ChangeNumbers. They don’t mean s**t…”
While frustrations are definitely still bubbling over, there has to be some news soon.Hollow Knight: Silksong will be playable at Gamescomlater this month andat an Australian video game exhibition next month. Stay strong a little longer Skongers.
