AsHollow Knight: Silksong’slaunch gets closer, confirmed to becoming at some point in the next few months, the fan base is getting more and more restless. The community had to endure years of silence before a flurry ofleaks, rumors, andSteam updatesarrived at the beginning of this year. But as summer showcases came and went, with no sign of the game, apart from whenDeadpool mocked it during Summer Game Festanda few brief moments during the Xbox Game Showcase, the wait began to seem never-ending.

Silksongers have been handed somewhat of a reprieve, though, as a new post on a museum’s Instagram has given us a unique look at some artwork from the game’s development.

Australian Culture Museum Shares In Progress Hollow Knight: Silksong Artwork

Team Cherry, creators ofHollow Knightand Hollow Knight: Silksong, is based in Adelaide, Australia, so it’s no surprise that the company is featured front and center at the ACMI’s (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) Game Worlds exhibition, whichkicks off later this year. The exhibition will showcase games like World of Warcraft, The Sims, Neopets, and, of course, Silksong, and will feature playable segments from each game.

The event, which runs from June 02, 2025, to July 08, 2025, has been used asa benchmark for the release of Silksong, as the expectation is that Team Cherry would have the game ready to go ahead of the exhibition. Although this hasn’t been confirmed, it’s a solid theory.

Now, with around two and a half months until Game Worlds begins, the ACMI has begun heavily promoting the event, showcasing a number of new Silksong artworks on its Instagram, which has, of course, set the community off.

In the event’s page on the ACMI’s website, it says, “Explore original design materials, concept art and iconic objects from across genres, including indie gems and Triple-A masterpieces,” and that’s exactly what the images shared on Instagram show, ranging from pencil to digital drawings, to pin badges, and a giant Hornet plush. Given that it’s been two whole weeks since there was anything meaningful Silksong-related, this is huge.

Over on the Silksongsubreddit, fans have been losing their minds at the images. “HOW MUCH LONGER NOW…? MY. SILKSONG,“saidDormotaka. Naturally, given the community’s penchant for baiting each other with fake social media posts and updates (or their ability torally behind false release dates), some didn’t believe these new images were real. However, we’re happy to report that they are, and, of course, this means the game is coming soon. Right??
