Ahead of its October 10 release,Battlefield 6is rolling out an open beta focused on multiplayer this weekend that nearly everyone can dive into.
Battlefield 6 continues to make headlines. From a variable refresh rate on consoles boasting up to 120fps onPS5 Pro(and60fps on other release consoles), to fans exalting what’s observed as a ‘return to form,‘EAmay have a much-needed winner on its hands. However, before launch, EA is giving fans a chance to try out the game in open beta, and its first run deploys this weekend.
Whether you’re a battle-hardened veteran or hitting the frontlines of the Battlefield franchise for the first time, this is everyone’s chance to make a mark in what EA calls “the most expansive Battlefield Open Beta ever”, which only has two weekends scheduled (so far). The first weekend is this Saturday from Aug 9-10, and for those who can’t make it to the first party, another rolls out on August 14-17.
Firstly, fans who want to participate need to have access to an Xbox Series S/X, a PS5, or an adequate PC to play.
Secondly, PC players need to make sure they have the minimum specifications required (listed above courtesy of EA) to get in and play without any issues.
How To Enlist In The Battlefield 6 Open Beta
If fans have signed up for Battlefield Labs before July 31, they’re in luck; nothing else needs to be done, and they merely have to log in with the EA account associated with the sign-up, and they’re in. For everyone else, the Open Beta is exactly that, open! While early access for the beta this coming weekend was reserved for those who have completed the early sign-up period (and for those who have watched creators on Twitch for an early access code back on July 31), everyone else can still jump in.
To get in, fans mustlink their EA accountto the platform of their choice. This is as easy as logging into an EA account on the specified platform and linking with double verification through email. Fans can also pre-load the game as early as August 4 to get as much time as possible with the open beta before it closes.
While Battlefield 6 doesn’t launch officially until October 10, this weekend allows fans to get behind the curtain two months early to get a jump on the competition.
