Helldivers 2 doesn’t appear to be getting a physical release on Xbox. That’s in keeping with Xbox’s ongoing pattern that strongly suggests it has left physical releases in the past.
Helldivers 2 Will Have Cross-Play On Xbox Series X|S
PS5 and PC players have been able to play Helldivers 2 together since launch, and the same will apply to Xbox players when they arrive on August 26. There isn’t going to be some alternate universe where Xbox owners are defending a parallel version of Super Earth. All players will be fighting in the same war as cross-play will allow PS5, Xbox, and PC players to play the game together.
There’s no word yet on whether the Xbox version will support cross progression, allowing PS5 players to transfer their saves to an Xbox console. That seems unlikely, though. There’s also been no word yet on whether Helldivers 2 will be onXbox Game Pass. Since it’s a PlayStation-published game, that too feels like a very big ask.
