The next port of call forXboxwhen it comes to moving it exclusive to other platforms will beSenua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. The sequel, which has been an Xbox exclusive since its launch over a year ago, is nowconfirmed to be released onPS5on Jul 29, 2025.
The arrival of Hellblade 2 on PS5 will coincide with its enhanced edition arriving on Xbox andPC. Naturally, the PS5 version of the game will be the enhanced edition, and if you already own Hellblade 2 on Xbox or PC, the enhanced upgrade on that same platform will be free. Good news for those playing on Xbox, but in the grand scheme of things, despite Hellblade 2 being an Xbox-published game, PS5 owners look set to get the better end of the deal.
The Deluxe Version Of Hellblade 2 Includes The First Game If You Buy It On PS5
Play Through All Of Senua’s Saga For $69.99
The enhanced PS5 version of Hellblade 2 will cost $49.99. However, there’s also a deluxe edition of Hellblade 2, which is exclusively available on PS5 that not only includes the upgraded version of the sequel but also the first game, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, optimized for the PS5. It costs $20 more, and you also get a copy of the soundtrack thrown in there for good measure.
There was no deluxe edition of Hellblade 2 on Xbox at launch, and there’s not one now, even though there’s one available to pre-order on PS5. Even though Hellblade 2 has been available on Xbox for more than a year, you would think, again, since this is an Xbox-published game, the deluxe edition would be an option open to those playing on Xbox consoles, too, but apparently not.
As it stands, the deluxe edition of Hellblade 2 is an Xbox-published PS5 exclusive. There is an option to buy the Hellblade bundle on Xbox, which gets you the optimized version of Hellblade alongside Hellblade 2, but not only is it more expensive thanthe PS5’s deluxe edition, but the soundtrack isn’t included. So that’s more money for less stuff.
Pre-orders for Hellblade 2 on PS5, both its standard and its deluxe edition, are available now. Since the original Hellblade was released before Ninja Theory was acquired by Xbox, Senua’s Sacrifice has been available onPS4since launch. If you own the first Hellblade on PS4, you will be able to upgrade to the PS5 optimized version for free, whether you buy Hellblade 2 or not.
