Helldivers 2has only been confirmed to be coming toXboxfor less than 24 hours, but that hasn’t stopped fans from dreaming up the perfect crossover Warbond to celebrate.

Xbox may have just had one of the worst weeks in its history, but there was a bit of a bright light at the end of the tunnel. More than a year after it launched onPlayStation,Helldivers 2 was suddenly confirmed to be coming to Xbox, marking one of the first times Sony has shared one of its published games with the green box.

Even though Helldivers 2 isn’t going to be coming to Xbox Game Pass any time soon, that didn’t stop most fans from seeing it as very good news. The more Helldivers fighting for democracy, the better, after all. Of course, with Xbox now acting as one of the game’s platforms, that opens the door a bit for potential crossover Warbonds.

Master Chief is surely too powerful for Helldivers lore, but there’s an obvious pick for a Halo crossover

ODST troopers are about as strong as Helldivers, right?

So far in Helldivers 2’s lifetime,we’ve only really had one crossover, which was with PlayStation’s Killzone.Arrowhead has confirmed that it’s up for doing more if they fit into the game’s world, and Xbox fans have clearly already figured out who they want to see in the game - Halo’s ODST troopers.

Over on Halo’s subreddit,, who pointed out that the ODST troopers would make the perfect candidates for a Helldivers 2 crossover. Considering how similar the two types of soldiers are to one another, it’s the perfect fit.

The suggestion seems to be quite a popular one, with the comments all agreeing that ODST troopers are the perfect way to get the world of Halo and Helldivers together. Redditor Coops92 said that ODST would fit within Arrowhead’s rules of keeping it within the game’s themes, which promoted This_Elk_1460 to say that Helldivers are “basically just ODSTs with a bit more fascism”.

This is far from the only post about a Halo crossover in Helldivers 2. It’s a match made in sci-fi heaven, really.

Of course, we have no idea if Arrowhead is even able to do something like a crossover with Halo considering PlayStation still publishes the game, but it does feel like the most likely outcome if it were to ever happen. Now we just need the rumoured Master Chief Collection on PS5to butter Sony up enough to let it happen.
