With all of the rumours andinformation regarding Half-Life 3 that’s been found within the source code of other Valve games, it seems more and more like it’snearing the end of its development and could get announced soon. That’s been supported yet again by the latest batch of Half-Life 3 leaks that have been shared by an insider.

Half-Life 3 Is Apparently Right Near The End Of Its Development Cycle

Valve Insider Says It Could Be Announced “Any Day” Now

Over on his YouTube page,Half-Life and Valve insider Tyler McVicker shared a new video detailing 17 new bits of Half-Life 3 informationthat have been found over the past few months. These bits of information come from the source code of Dota 2 and Deadlock, and are all good signs that Half-Life 3 could be announced “any day” now.

Some of the discoveries within the code include a revamped saving and loading system (which McVicker thinks is proof that development is being rounded out), a new string of code for electric interactions that furthers the notion that HL3 will have more immersive sim elements, and much more “complex” sight and sound mechancis for NPCs.

A lot of the new code that’s been found for HLX is only a couple of months old, which really does pin down the idea that Half-Life 3 development is progressing smoothly. There are lots of other interesting finds in the video, but the main headline is that it’s very likely that we’ll see the game in the near future.

We really are going to end up seeing Half-Life 3 annonuced before even Silksong returns, aren’t we?

As exciting as these leaks and the prospect of Half-Life 3 on the horizon are, it’s worth keeping in mind what McVicker says aboutValveannouncing the game soon. While Half-Life 3 certainly seems like it’s ready to be revealed, Valve are perfectionists and unlikely to show it until it’s truly ready. With that in mind, don’t go intoSummer Game Festcertain it’ll actually be there.
