July is finally upon us, and if you happen to live in the United States, today is a cause for celebration as it’s the 4th of July. For everyone else, it’s just another Friday, though that’s also worth celebrating on its own.
With the holiday in full swing,Rockstar Gamesdecided to get in on the fun by offering some patriotic-themed items in bothGrand Theft Auto 5’s GTA OnlineandRed Dead Redemption 2’s Red Dead Online. Speaking of Red Dead Online,it just got some fresh content, so there’s even more reason to dive back in.
If You’re Online, You’ll Be Seeing A Whole Lot Of Red, White And Blue
When it comes toGrand Theft Auto 5, Rockstar is offering 4x GTA$ and RP on land races, plus double rewards for auto shop client jobs and tow truck services to go along with a 4th of July-themed livery, according to a release in the Rockstar Games Newswire.
There are also a bunch of discounts to be had and beer hats for your character, because nothing says 4th of July more than a beer hat.
When it comes to Red Dead Online, things are a bit more tame, though equally patriotic. Anyone who logs in this month gets a themed poncho, while completing certain challenges outlined onlinewill help you get outfit pieces to complete the set shown in the official social media post.
It’s not a ton, but it is fun and silly, which, ultimately, are key parts of any holiday. The best part is, they’re open to everyone and not just those in the U.S.
