Summary

Grand Theft Auto 6excitement has hit fever pitch once again. Despite adisheartening but not wholly unexpected delayinto May 2026, Rockstardropped the game’s second trailer out of the blue, recouping any good will it may have lost because of the slip.

As is so often the case, players have been combing through the trailer for any piece of information about the game they can find. In less than 48 hours, they’vefound a callback to the infamous 2022 leaks, have becomeobsessed with beer bubbles, spotted alink to another Rockstar franchise, and think they’ve figured out whoone of the game’s leading actors is.

This level of commitment borders on obsession in the GTA community, and one fan has taken it to the extreme, making it easier for everybody in the process as they’ve painstakingly captured all 5,000 frames from the trailer and uploaded them online for analysis.

The Real Deep Dive Of The GTA 6 Second Trailer Has Now Begun

Over on the GTA Forums, userSpider-Vice has captured everyframe from GTA 6’s second trailer. That’s 5,002 frames and over 28GB of images. Another user then took the frames, andeach was individually sorted by the scene it featuredin.

This will be the jumping-off point for many GTA detectives, as they scan every image for references to previous games, potential story beats, and possible gameplay mechanics.

These images havealready been usedto find that characters have visible body hair, that the watch on Jason’s wrist really works, and that coins in cash registers move when opened. They’ve also helped players speculate that melee, the environment, and weapons can be used interchangeably in combat, safehouses can be customized, and trees can be destroyed.

Capturing screens of over 5,000 frames takes dedication, and analyzing them all takes that to the next level. Only time will tell what information is gleaned from the trailer, but players are already off to a good start. I wonder how many of thehalf a billion views it has already receivedare from repeat viewers searching for clues.
