Summary
Grand Theft Auto 6finallygot its second trailer earlier this week, and the reaction from gamers was generally one of pure excitement. It had a little bit of everything, including action, references, andmore than a few risqué shots of Jason and Luciafor all the thirsty GTA fans out there. It was also visually stunning, which is what we’ve come to expect from Rockstar these days.
It looked so good that fans found themselves admiring Rockstar’s attention to detail once again, with a couple of bubbling beer bottles stealing the spotlightthis time around. However, we have been down this road before, and there was also a healthy amount of skepticism over just how good GTA 6 looks, leading some to question exactly how much of the second trailer was representative of the final product. Turns out, it’s all of it.
GTA 6 Trailer 2 Was Captured “Entirely In-Game”
Earlier today, Rockstar decided to clear things up about the game’s visuals, by posting a tweet claiming the entirety of GTA 6’s second trailer was captured “in-game from a PlayStation 5”. They also reveal that the footage used in the trailer was “equal parts of gameplay and cutscenes”, so yes, GTA 6 will look exactly like the second trailer when it launches next May.
What’s even more impressive is that it doesn’t appear that Rockstar specifically mentioned the PS5 Pro, which means the game could look even better on the enhanced system. Either way, it looks like GTA 6 is set to become the best-looking game on consoles by a wide margin, which you’d expect considering the budget is probably gigantic, and we’re all probably going to have to pay upwards of $100 to own it.
Unfortunately, we’ve got a while to wait until we can actually get our hands on the game right now, as the game’s second trailer came after the reveal that it’s being pushed back to Jul 11, 2025. That pushes GTA 6 another year away, but apparently it was delayed for good reason,as Rockstar is apparently attempting to avoid “brutal crunch” this time around.
