Summary

A few days after confirmingGTA 6 won’t be here for another year,Rockstar dropped a second trailerfor its highly anticipated game out of nowhere. Just threw it out there on a random Tuesday. The millions waiting for it have been dissecting the trailer frame-by-frame ever since, hyper-focusing on every little detail they can find, right down to the very realistic bubbles in a bottle of beer.

By the timeGTA 6launches next year, 13 years will have passed between it and the last game in the series. That’s one of the reasons expectations are so high forRockstar’s next mega hit, and why those waiting for it expect the attention to detail in GTA 6 to be on a level they have never seen in video games before, let alone just Rockstar.

The beer on the table shown right before Lucia walks in to find Jason asleep on the couch might be a tiny part of the new trailer, but it’s evidence that Rockstar has gone to incredible lengths to make its new Vice City the most detailed world it has ever created. When you stop on the shot with an Ammu-Nation ad playing on the TV and zoom in on the beer on the table, you’re able to not only see bubbles in the beer, but those bubbles are moving in exactly the same way they would in a real-life beer bottle.

Thought Has Gone Into Everything In GTA 6

Right Down To The Beer Bubbles

Again, it doesn’t seem all that amazing just reading it. You need to see it to understand why so many people are in awe over such a small detail. Clearly, the world in which GTA 6 takes place will be massive, so for someone - probably multiple people - at Rockstar to see the game’s beer and go to that much effort to make it look slightly more realistic, it’s incredibly impressive.

It’s one of those things that will have some of you asking questions like “What’s the point? Who will even notice?” Well, quite a few people, clearly, especially when those who spot it go to the trouble of sharing what they’ve noticed with others. It’s also one of the countless reasons why Rockstar rises above most other studios and why the last GTA game has sold 210 million copies, and the next may well be the biggest video game launch of all time.

The beer bubbles are one of many things people have picked out of the new trailer, and with another year until GTA 6 gets here, there will be a lot more picked out of it in the days, weeks, and months to come. The opening line appears to be Rockstarpoking fun at itself for the infamous leaks in 2022, and some now thinkprotagonist Jason might be an undercover cop.
