The first step in upgrading your weapons and armor in Grounded 2 is collecting theBrittle Quartzite Shards (weapons)andBrittle Marble Shards (armor)you’ll need to begin.
You must have thelevel one Omni-Hammer upgradeto break deposits of Quartzite and Marble.

How To Upgrade Your Weapons And Armor
With your Brittle Whetstone and Brittle Plating in hand,you’re almost readyto begin upgrading your favorite weapons. First, you’llneed to craft a Smithing Station,which is where the upgrading will take place.

With your Smithing Station crafted, you can select your favorite weapon or piece of armor to improve by ten percent for the first upgrade tier.
As you upgrade your gear, the Whetstone and Plating costs will increase as the improvements stack.
