Bug Rubber inGrounded 2is a crucial resource that will make the early parts of the game easier to play. When you have Bug Rubber, you’ll be able to craft more durable gear such as the Roach armor set. However, it’s not a material that you’re able to simply find in the world. Bug Rubber is actually a combination of other basic ingredients you’ll need to find.

As soon as you get past the opening parts of Grounded 2, the game gives you the freedom to do whatever you’d like. Locating Acid Glands is somewhat tricky. The resourceonly drops from a couple of insect types, such asthe Red Soldier Ants. Unlike their smaller cousins in the Red Worker Ants, these are moreaggressive and will attack you on sight.

They don’t roam around randomly like ladybugs; you’ll need tofind an anthillto harvest the material from them.

The best place to find these ants in the early game would beHatchery Anthill, located south of the first Ranger Outpost. You can find many Red Solider Ants roaming around either on thesurface or down into the colony.

As you fight them, they will start to block your attacks. When that happens, navigate to its backside and continue doing damage. Alternatively, when they block attacks, swap to a ranged weapon and fire at a distance.

We recommend going after Red Soldier Ants. They’re more common than the Larva and seem to consistently drop Acid Glands.
