If you’ve been playingGrounded 2for a bit, you might already realize the requirement for armor since you take a ton of damage otherwise, especially if you’re on a solo run. However, the items you need to create most of the armor require you to fight some tough enemies.
Thankfully, the weaver armor is one of the few that you can get fairly easily, but you need to find some Spine Nubs to make it. You can find this item by hunting down specific enemies, and here’s how you can do that.
Grounded 2 is currently in Early Access, and the content and locations in this article are subject to change.
How To Get Spine Nub
Spine Nub is a yellow-colored item that dropswhen you defeat a caterpillar and interact with its body. You’ll get at least one Spine Nub for each caterpillar you defeat, with a high chance of getting more. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of spawns that can help you get these caterpillars in a decent amount of time.
The caterpillars do respawn a bit over a day after you defeat them, which lets you make aproper path and use it every time you need to farm some Spine Nubs.
How To Find And Reach Caterpillars
As you’d expect from a caterpillar, these creatures are mainly found in two places:
If you take a look at your map, you’ll find a bunch of these giant leaf flowers marked to thesouth of the boundary between Snackbar Front and Picnic Table, making it the perfect spot to hunt some caterpillars. When you get to these flowers, you can jump on their leaves by using an elevation or some other item on the ground.
However, some of these flowers don’t have this elevation, and for these, you’ll have to create a bunch of staircases to take you up. You can unlock the staircase through an upgrade at the Ranger Station. This building is a one-time thing since you can climb the same structures every time you want to farm Spine Nub after that.
Caterpillars don’t attack you back, making it one of the easiest creaturesto defeat once you find them.
Apart from the Snackbar Front, you may also find some caterpillars on theleft side of the Entrance area where the minimap is mostly colored in yellow.
