Gamers Have Been Waiting For A Way To Make Their PS5 Pros Look Unique
When the PS5 Pro initially launched last year, it debuted as part of a limited-edition bundle in honor of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary. Instead of the white plates, the Pro was decked out in classic PlayStation gray.
Naturally, of course, the bundle sold out extremely quickly, due in large part to the fact that it was limited to 12,300 pieces, and the ever-evolving problem of scalpers. However, in the time since then, the PS5 Pro hasn’t had any additional customizable plates available for purchase. What’s more, the already existing plates for the PS5 Slim edition are not compatible.
The absence of customizable options has led gamers to look elsewhere, specifically to third-party dealers, where plates that are compatible with the Pro have already been manufactured. It’sled to PS3-themed consolesandPS2-themed ones, too. Now that official Sony-branded plates are coming, it stands to reason that more colorways could be on the way down the line.
At the very least, you’ll be able to have a custom console after nearly a year of waiting for any sort of update.
