Last week’sGhost of Yoteideep dive gave us a better look atwhat awaits us when the game launches. Among the biggest changes are the variety of weapons, the revamped exploration and progression, and theremoval of the stance systemfromGhost of Tsushima. While we enjoyed the previous game and are looking forward to Yotei, a lot of us are probably hoping for the revival of one of Sucker Punch’s older IPs.

Before Tsushima, Sucker Punch was known for being the studio behind Infamous and Sly Cooper. The former, especially, was one of the first games that made us feel what it would be like to be a superhero, or villain. While the IP seems to be shelved for now, Ghost of Yotei director Nate Fox would love to bring it back.

Ghost Of Yotei Director Wants To Bring Back Infamous, But It Won’t Be Anytime Soon

In a conversation withGame Informer, Fox spoke about some of the new and returning features in the game. Towards the end of the interview, he was asked if he’d be open to revisiting the Infamous series. “I would love to work on more Infamous,” Fox replied. “I would love to see a trilogy rerelease, but Sucker Punch is a one game at a time shop, and right now we are very focused on finishing Ghost of Yōtei.”

So, if Sucker Punch were to go back to Infamous, we’d only hear about it a good while after the launch of Ghost of Yotei in October. Of course, just because Fox said he’d love to work on more Infamous, it doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll actually see a revival of the series. It’s one of the biggest PlayStation exclusives that hasn’t seen a remaster, and fans have been begging for it.

While there will be a lot of changes in the sequel, elsewhere in the interview, co-director Jason Connell confirmed that one of the best technical features of Tsushima will also feature in Yotei – the ultra-quick fast travel. “It’s a convenience thing, right? That’s not going anywhere because people like it so much. But yeah, it’s pretty quick,” said Connell. “Yeah. People love it.”
