If you’ve been playingGenshin Impactfor a little while, you likely already understand the importance of elemental reactions in the game. There are a total of seven elements that can react with each other, and each reaction has specific effects ranging from damage boosts to an entire effect being spawned on the field.
Ineffa is a five-star Polearm Electro character who brings a new reaction to the game. While she’s in the team, you can trigger the Lunar-Charged reaction, which deals much higher damage than its normal counterpart, making her a phenomenal reaction-driver once you have the right build.
Imaginarium Theater
S+ Tier
Released during the Version 5.8 update for the first time, Ineffa is a Nod-Krai character who brings in the first Lunar reaction to Genshin Impact. Lunar-Charged is the moon variation of Electro-Charged, and when this triggers, itforms a thundercloud on the battlefield that attacks enemieson the field, which can Crit.
As long as Ineffa is on the field, sheconverts all Electro-Charged triggers in her party to Lunar-Charged, while also using this reaction herself. You can tell when you trigger Lunar-Charged by looking at the purple-white gradient on the damage numbers.
Luinar-Charged being able to Crit is massivewhen it comes to reactions in the game, making her one of the best reaction drivers out there.
Ineffa’s Kit, Explained
Ineffa’s kit is fairly simple to understand and here’s everything you need to know:
Ineffa’s Constellations, Explained
Much like every other character in Genshin Impact, Ineffa also has a set of six constellations. However, her first constellation is arguably the best place to stop, but here’s what they all do:
Ineffa Talent Priority
While building Ineffa, you canupgrade her normal attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst up to level ten. However, you won’t be using her normal attacks a lot, which means that you can leave this talent at level one. On the other hand, her Elemental Skill takes priority for upgrade since it has the multipliers for her shield and Birgitta’s damage.
you’re able to upgrade her Burst after the skill as this willbuff the one-time damage dealtwhen you trigger it, which is quite significant.
Best Ineffa Weapons
Ineffa is a Polearm wielder, which means that you can’t use any other weapon types on her. Thankfully, she has a very healthy set of choices for her weaponfor both F2P and low-spending players. Ineffa’sbest weapon is undoubtedly her signature called the Fractured Halo, but here are your other choices:
Fractured Halo
Five-Star
This weapon starts off by giving you awhopping 66.2 percent Crit DMG boostas soon as you equip it on Ineffa and upgrade it. Apart from that, Ineffa can get an ATK boost after you use her Skill or Burst.
Finally, since she creates a shield with her Skill, it’ll also increase allparty members' Lunar-Charged DMG by 40 percent.
Primordial Jade Winged-Spear
This weapon can be acquired from the Standard banner, and it gives you 22.1 percent Crit Rate after being upgraded. Moreover, you can getATK boosts every time you hit an enemy.
The ATK boost has seven stacks, and once you reach the maximum stacks, you canincrease Ineffa’s DMG by 12 percent.
Calamity Queller
This can be a great weapon for Ineffa as itmassively boosts her ATKfrom the secondary stat and after using her Skill, especially when she’s off-field. It can also give her an Elemental DMG boost.
Staff of the Scarlet Sands
Apart from the massive 44.1 percent Crit Rate boost, this weapon alsogives Ineffa some extra flat ATKbased on her Elemental Mastery.
Ballad of the Fjords
Four-Star
This is the best four-star weapon for Ineffa as it not only gives her some Crit Rate, but canalso increase her Elemental Mastery by up to 240as long as you have three different elemental types in the team.
Blackcliff Pole
This weapon gives you some Crit DMG andincreases her ATK when you defeat an enemy.
Deathmatch
Regardless of whether you’re fighting multiple opponents or one boss enemy, this weapon can give youvarious buffs including Crit Rate and ATK.
Dragon’s Bane
Finally, since you’ll commonly attack opponents affected by Hydro, thisweapon can increase your Elemental Masteryand the DMG dealt.
Best Ineffa Artifacts
Ineffa is one of the few characters who didn’t release with her best-in-slot artifact set, which means thatyou’ll have to choose from one of the existing bonuses. You’ll get themost value while using the Gilded Dreamsset on her, making it Ineffa’s best artifact set, but you have a few other choices:
Synergy With Ineffa
Gilded Dreams
This set increases her Elemental Mastery with the two-piece while giving her an ATK or EM boost based on her teammates. Since you’ll likelyhave at least two non-Electro characters in the team, this is a great set for her.
Thundering Fury
This set has existed in Genshin Impact since launch, but it now also gives you a 20 percent boost to Lunar-Charged DMGapart from the 15 percent Electro DMG bonus, making it equally as valuable as Gilded Dreams.
Golden Troupe
Finally, if you just want to get some extra damage out of Birgitta, you may use this set for it, though you’ll struggle a lot more while getting the right stats on her artifacts.
Ineffa Artifact Stat Priority
Unfortunately, even after being a support, Ineffa can be one of the most difficult characters to build in Genshin Impact since she not onlyneeds a ton of ATK and Elemental Mastery, but also a decent Crit Ratio to make the most out of her kit. Here are the stats you should aim for:
Sub-Stats
ATK Percent > Elemental Mastery > Crit Rate/DMG
While Ineffa does have priorities for her sub-stats, it’sstill important to have all of themon as many pieces as possible.
Ineffa needs at least2,000 ATK to get the maximum boost for Lunar-Charged DMGfrom her third passive and the first constellation. Apart from that, you’d want to aim for at least 300 Elemental Mastery with a 70 percent Crit Rate and as much Crit DMG as possible.
F2P Ineffa Team
Ineffa, Fischl, Xingqiu, Sucrose
As you might already understand after reading Ineffa’s kit, she mainlybrings two aspects to her party: Lunar-Charged reaction and decent Electro DMG. As such, you’d want to get as many Lunar-Charged triggers as possible with her in the team while also dealing some extra Electro DMG, and both Raiden Shogun andClorinde excel at that.
Both these Electro main DPS characters deal a ton of Normal Attack DMG, which makesYelan a great off-field Hydro applicator for them, but you can also use Furina. Both these Hydro applicators come with their advantages and disadvantages:
It’s recommended to haveas much Elemental Mastery on your Electro and Hydro charactersin these teams as possible.
Finally, Ineffa’s best F2P team involves Fischl, Xingqiu, and Sucrose. The final character can use theViridescent Venerer set to decrease the opponent’s RES to Electro and Hydro. Kaedehara Kazuha is also a good replacement for Sucrose if you have him. Once you have a team around Ineffa, her rotations are pretty simple.
You just have to use her Skill and Burst during each rotation and continue with your DPS. Of course, her F2P team doesn’t have an on-field DPS, so you’ll constantly switch between teammates.
