As announced during Sunday’s Xbox Game Showcase, the Gears of War: Reloaded open beta will kick off on June 13 (Friday) and will span two weekends in total.

It’ll be a cross-platform experience, and it is open to those who’ve pre-ordered Reloaded, Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC members, as well as those who already own Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, the original remaster of the title from back in 2015.

Gears of War: Reloaded Was Rumored To Get A Beta Before

Sunday’s announcement isn’t all too surprising, considering it was heavily rumored that Reloaded would have some sort of beta period to presumably stress test its servers ahead of its full launch.

As spotted on Reddit, SteamDB, a database for all things Steam related, a Beta file was uploaded to Steam that even had people actively playing it. However, shortly after being discovered, the file was renamed to PenPL, though it still retained the Gears icon and beta EULA.
