AlthoughFortniteis the ultimate crossover game, there are some skins that, if you missed out when they were added, you might have missed your chance forever. It might have felt like that for anyone hoping to drop in dressed as Chun-Li, however, one of Fortnite’s most sought-after skins has returned following an almost three-year absence.

Chun-Li returned to Fortnite’s in-game store over the weekend and if you’ve been waiting a while for her to come back, you’ll not want to hang around. According toPocketOfficial, theStreet Fightericon will remain in the storeuntil 8 pm ET on May 25, 2025,so this Saturday. At that time, the available skins and items will rotate again, and Chun-Li will disappear.

As was the case when Chun-Li’s skin rotated out 1,057 days ago, there’s a chance that she returns and you’re able to buy her and her accompanying cosmetics again at a later date. However, as indicated by that lengthy time gap, there’s no way of knowing when exactly that opportunity will present itself. There doesn’t tend to be any pattern to how and when Fortnite skins come back; they just return now and again, if you’re lucky.

Don’t Panic, Everyone, But Chun-Li Is Back

The 1,057-Day Wait Is Over

Take Chun-Li, for instance. Sure,Street Fighter 6has received a bit of a boost thanks to its launch onNintendo Switch 2, but not only was that almost three weeks ago, but this Chun-Li return doesn’t seem to be tied to it at all. I’m assuming there’s more to it than someone behind the scenes hitting the Chun-Li button, but as for what leads to these decisions, that remains a mystery.

Some skins and cosmetics have been missing for so long at this stage that it’s starting to feel like they might never return. Kratos and his Leviathan Axe backblng, for example, were removed from the Item Shop 1,557 days ago and haven’t been seen since. If you see someone wearing a Kratos skin in Fortnite, know that they’ve been playing for at least five years.

Despite crossover skins probably being what Fortnite is best known for, there was a time early on during its meteoric rise that Epic wasn’t interested in the prospect of housing all of the world’s biggest entertainment IPs under one roof.Avengers: Endgame directors The Russo Brothers spent almost six hours on the phone with Epic’s Donald Mustard, effectively begging him to put Thanos in the game. Mustard eventually caved, and the rest is history.
