Fortniteplayers all seem to agree that the recently releasedSupermanMythic is far too underpowered considering you’re supposed to be playing as the Man of Steel.

As big a game as Fortnite is, it’s fair to say that the current season has been pretty understated, especially compared to some of the other ones we’ve had in Chapter 6. The one saving grace of itall has been the inclusion of Superman, who is based on the David Corenswet version seen in James Gunn’s movie.

Superman isn’t just a skin that’s included in the Battle Pass, though. As of a few days ago, a new Mythic, Superman’s Call, was added to Fortnitethat lets players collect Superman’s cape and gain the ability to play as the Man of Steel, which includes getting all of his iconic superpowers. It’s just a shame that he’s not living up to his name.

Fortnite’s Superman Mythic is a big letdown for players

“The guy who’s supposed to be bulletproof is not”

Ever since Superman was added to Fortnite on July 11,players have been complaining about how underpowered he is. Despite having the ability to fly, use heat vision, and have super strength, Superman isn’t exactly the overpowered inclusion that you’d expect him to be, thanks to a number of issues.

One of the biggest problems is that Superman’s Mythic has atimer attached to it that constantly ticks down and goes even faster when he’s shot at, making him incredibly difficult to use properly. That’s right, the bulletproof Man of Steel is actually very prone to being taken down easily by bullets. Who would have thought?

Almost every Fortnite player complaining about Superman notes thatDoom was the perfect example of how to include a superhero Mythic.

Over on the Fortnite subreddit, many of the posts lately are complaining about how “weak” Superman’s Mythic is,including a popular one by Redditor Adorable_Strike_1134. Almost all of the comments agree that Superman’s health is far too small for the character, and that he dies too quickly to be worth getting. Combine that with being tracked, and he’s basically an open target.

Some of the other complaints about Superman’s Mythicinclude the heat vision somehow being weaker than the Sprite’s version, the ability not actually spawning in every match, and his moveset simply not being that interesting. Overall, it’s a pretty big miss for the season’s biggest inclusion, and one that doesn’t do Superman justice.
