It’s been one whole year sinceLego revealed its first Fortnite sets, following in the footsteps of the very popularLego Fortnitein-game mode. To celebrate 12 months ofFortnitesets, a newLegogift with purchase has been revealed, and this time, you don’t even need to buy anything Fortnite-themed to get it.
Lego’s gifts with purchase are smaller sets that are given away with larger, or in some cases specific, purchases.A Brite Bomber BrickHeadz sets was previously given awaywhen buying Fortnite Lego sets, for example. The newly revealed Fortnite gift with purchase is pretty similar, but this timeit’s Adventure Peely and Cuddle Team Leaderthat have been given the free Lego treatment.
Rumors that another free Lego Fortnite set was coming started to swirl over the weekend, and now Lego has confirmed the finer details (thanks,Brick Fanatics). The listing is already liveand confirmsthe new set is made up of 258 pieces.
Fortnite’s new Lego BrickHeadz are free if you buy $130 of other Lego sets
As with other Lego GWPs, even though the new BrickHeadz set has been assigned a monetary value, the only way to get it is by qualifying for it through other purchases. To get the Fortnite set thrown into your Lego haul, you will need to spend $130 on other Lego products in a single purchase. That sounds like a lot, and that’s because it is, but unlike other GWPs, including the Brite Bomber BrickHeadz, nothing in your cart needs to be Fortnite-themed.
Don’t all go rushing to the Lego store, the gift with purchase isn’t available yet. If you want the Adventure Peely and Cuddle Team Leader BrickHeadz, you will have to make your $130+ purchasebetween August 1 and August 11. The set should show in your cart before you check out, so verify it’s there before you pay. If it’s not, you might miss out on a freebie.
If it’s specifically Fortnite sets you’re after, good news! The game’s Mecha Team Leader set is available now, and since it’s the most expensive Fortnite set yet, you can buy that and nothing else from August 1 and qualify for the free BrickHeadz. The bad news is that it takes you way past the threshold, as it costs $249.99. If you want to spend a little less, you can wait forthe new Transformers Soundwave set, which will be released on August 4 and is $100 cheaper.
