There doesn’t appear to be a pre-order bonus available for those who commit to The Ivalice Chronicles early. However, there are some decisions to make before you place your order, and some potential pitfalls you will need to sidestep to ensure you don’t end up paying more than you should or want to. That’s mostly due to the remaster’s confusing collector’s box situation - more on that beyond the links below.
There is, of course, the standard edition for those who just want to play the game when it launches on September 30.That costs $49.99. For an additional $10, you’re able to get the deluxe edition, which comes with a handful of in-game extras to aid you on your remastered journey. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles Collector’s Box
In Typical Square Enix Fashion, It’s More Confusing Than It Needs To Be
There is a loaded, very expensive collector’s edition of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, but as has been the case with Square Enix collector’s editions in the past, it’s not as simple as clicking pre-order, paying your money, and waiting for the game to arrive. That’s because the standard version of the collector’s box doesn’t come with the base game. You need to add either the standard or deluxe edition of the game to your cart when you check out to get the game with your collector’s box, and Square promises they will be boxed and shipped together.
That will drive the $200 collector’s box up to $249.99if you want it to come with a copy of the game, and I’m assuming you do. The collector’s box does come with a lot of great stuff. A trio of adorable chocobo plushes, a Ramza Beoulve figure, a set of Zodiac Stone magnets, and more. The collector’s box is available exclusively through the Square Enix store.
