Norman Reedus gained widespread recognition during the 2010s due to his portrayal of Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead series. That’s still the thing he’s most known for, but he’s also starting to make an impact in the video game world.

At this point, his likeness and voice have been used for several different games, most notably the Death Stranding titles. The resemblance of these likenesses has varied. Some only slightly look like Reedus, while others are almost photo-realistic. Here is a ranking of each of them based on how much they look like the actor.

8State Of Survival

State of Survival is a mobile game that Norman Reedus (as Daryl Dixon) was added to. It isn’t one ofthe most graphically impressive mobile gamesever. Therefore, Daryl’s character model doesn’t look exceptionally lifelike.

Certain renders of the character you see in menus look decent, but the actual model doesn’t resemble the character. In fact, he looks a bit generic, and it would be hard to tell it’s him if his name wasn’t listed. At least he has a cool bike in this title.

7Fortnite

Fortnite’s signature art style means that none of the characters in the game look really life-like, nor are they meant to. They all look like cartoon characters, including Norman Reedus, who is in the game as Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead.

While it is a cartoony version of the famous zombie survivor, you may still tell who the character is. Additionally, the hair appears disheveled, as Daryl typically likes to style it. The goatee doesn’t look bad, either.

Survival Instinct was the first game to feature Norman Reedus’s famous face. It is a game based on The Walking Dead series, so Reedus is reprising his role as Daryl Dixon. Since it’s set before the events of the TV series, his hair is still short, which feels odd to see these days.

That said, it is still a fairly accurate representation of the style he used to have. As for his face, it’s not as impressive. You can tell that it’s supposed to be Daryl, but it lacks minute details and doesn’t look too much like the real thing.

Onslaught is a VR horror game featuring characters from The Walking Dead, so, of course, Daryl Dixon is there for the adventure. He has the classic long hair and beard look.

Both of these things look great. His face doesn’t look bad, either. He definitely resembles the character fans know and love. That said, when you look closely, it isn’t incredibly detailed, and it’s clear that you’re looking at a video game character instead of a real person.

4P.T.

It’s hard to compare the likeness of Norman Reedus from P.T. to his other video game appearances. After all, he only features briefly at the end of the short game as a tease of a Silent Hill title that was never released. So, you just get one single shot of him from what is effectively a trailer.

It’s a good shot, though, as it just looks just like the actor. It would’ve been an issue if it didn’t look like him, as the purpose of the scene was to announce that Norman Reedus was in the game. If it just looked like some generic guy with shaggy hair, the scene wouldn’t have worked.

3Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Celebrities are a common sight in the Call of Duty series, and Norman Reedus is far from the strangest inclusion. This first-person series has included Nicki Minaj, after all.

He features in both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone as Daryl Dixon. So, it’s the Daryl version of Reedus, meaning he’s a bit more rugged and has a large scar across his face. The small details are very impressive, and they help the model almost perfectly resemble the character and actor.

2Death Stranding

When you think of Norman Reedus in video game form, you likely think of Death Stranding. He was featured prominently in the game’s promotional material. In fact, the promise that you get to play the game as a Norman Reedus look-alike was a major selling point of the title. Therefore, the character’s appearance was crucial, as he had to resemble the actor.

Thankfully, the protagonist, Sam Porter Bridges, bears a striking resemblance to Reedus. His features are remarkably well-detailed and nearly perfect. The skin may be a little too smooth, which gives it a more video-game look, but overall, it’s a spitting image of the man.

1Death Stranding 2: On The Beach

The second Death Stranding game is one ofthe most realistic-looking games you’re ever likely to see. Once again, the game stars Sam Porter Bridges, who has the face of Norman Reedus. The actor and character shared a face in the first game, but the visuals have improved further in this one.

As a result, Sam looks almost exactly like Reedus. All the little details are there, and the skin looks incredibly realistic. If you show someone an image of the character without telling them it’s from a video game, they may just think it’s a photo of Reedus - albeit, they may question the grey hair.
