InTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, there are plenty of activities you can do. From going on epic quests to picking mushrooms in the forest with the other druids, you can have the adventure of a lifetime with some leisure thrown in. One thing you won’t want to pass up is fishing.
Fishing is a great pastime when you want a break from the Wyrdnights and beasts of the wood. Take a few moments to yourself to kick back, relax, and cast a line into the dark waters surrounding Avalon. You never know what fish (or treasures) you’ll find!
How To Fish
Passing time in Avalon is easy to do, especially when yougo fishing in the beautiful and mysterious watersof the Horns of the South. You’ll find fishing rods laying around on the beach, or you can buy one from the vendor along the shore in the village.
To go fishing,equip the fishing rod in one of your loadout spots,then approach a body of water.Use the correct input to cast a line, then wait for a fish to bite.
If the bobber ticks three times, and you haven’t gotten a pull, try recasting the line.
Once you get a bite,hold and release the input to keep the hook icon in the golden baruntil all the white bubbles on the left fade away. Then you’ll have reeled in your fish, and you cansee the size of your catch!
All Fish And Where To Find Them
There aresix species of fish you can findin the waters around Avalon, andeach will give you several fish filletsas a reward when caught (or stolen).The Horns of the South seems to be the best place to fish, with abundant streams, access to the ocean, and plenty of marine life.
Be warned that you canfish trash out of the water too! Cleaning up the litter can earn you a few extra gold coins if you sell it, though it is just garbage. And yes,you can fish in the infamous Blood Lake, though it’s mostly filled with trash.

It seems like some fish are much harder to find than others, or maynot yet be added to bodies of water. However, these are the fish we’ve found by name, so you’llhopefully be able to find them soon!
Common Bream can be fished out of most bodies of wateracross the Horns of the South. This is themost common fishyou’ll find, and you can easily fish it out ofponds, lakes, and the oceanby the seaside village.
Whilecrabs scuttle along the beachesin the Horns of the South, theydon’t count as a fishin the Fishing Journal.
Where To Get Really Special Herring
While other fish can be found just by fishing in bodies of water, theReally Special Herring is only unlocked after speaking with Rumpoltand initiating the120 Days On Herring And Cheese quest.
He’ll mark the location on your map,close to the giant fish graphic on the eastern side of the map. Head to that exact location to catch this slippery (and stinky) fish.
How To Unlock Fishing Skills
There aretwo skills you may unlockas a fisherman. When youhave skill pointsto use, you can unlock the following skills to assist you in your fishing endeavors:
Fishing Rods are 30 percent more durable.
Not A Small Fry
You are more likely to catch a bigger fish when fishing.
These skills willhelp you not only catch more fish, but bigger ones.You’ll never run out of fish fillets so long as youkeep your rod with youand set time aside to practice your angling.
When you catch all six varieties of fish, you’llunlock The Fisher-King’s Successor achievement/trophy!
