After you’ve obtained the proton whip upgrade inRevenge of the Savage Planet, you’ll be able to do a number of sweet new things, including but not limited to catching your first slew of creatures here on Stellaris Prime to get started on making a pen back at the base.

Capturing the creatures on Stellaris Prime in Revenge of the Savage Planet is your introduction to researching creatures in your pens as well, so be sure to twirl your lasso and catch a couple of these creatures - the more of them you have, the better your research will be!

All Stellaris Prime Creatures And Where To Catch Them

In the table below, we’ve kept track of where we foundeach catchable creatureon Stellaris Prime in Revenge of the Savage Planet. Some of them unlock by default as you progress the main story and work tomove onto your next planetary destination, but there are plenty of Stellaris Prime creatures you’ll need to work toward a bit harder if you’d like to finish catching each one in the Kindex.

You’ll be able to begin catching creatures on Stellaris Prime after you’veobtained the proton whipas part of the main storyline onthe game’s very first planet, so hold your whip button to start up your lasso and tether some creatures to send them home for researching.

Pfyzzich Beach

Along the waterof the beach itself, near the crash site.

You’ll need to return to Pfyzzich Beach after you’ve obtained the proton whip, since these guys are your tutorial on killing creatures toget carbon for your 3D printer.

Slitherfly

Slarragon Forest and Cliffs of Abaddoon

You’ll see their nests hanging from structures nearby, and they also emit quite a buzzing sound before they attack with missiles when you’re nearby. They’ll come to you, often enough!

If you’ve only got one Slitherfly nearby to deal with, they’re easy enough to just lasso, but you can also stun them with your water gun to make the process easier.

Raccocco

Slarragon Forest

The easiest way to find Raccocco is to either follow the main story line, or grab more of them fromnear the teleporternot far from the path into the forest from Nu Florida.

As long as you don’t hit them first, Raccocco are easy to simply capture.

Beetle

We’ve found them most often around the sides of cliffs, especially the ones leading up to the Cliffs of Abadoon.

Stun the Beetle by hitting the purple shell on its rear - they tend to shake off your lasso if not stunned first.

Fecal Beetle

While you’ll find them in a few spots, you’ll need to fight a few to gain access to Scuttling Grotto from Slarragon Forest.

Use your regular whip to burst the growths on its back to display its weak spot, then stun it by hitting said weak spot a few times.

Trickle

Slarragon Forest and Chuggler’s Swamp

They’ll come out of the brown, coral-like tube plants when you walk past, and they’re extremely aggressive.

It’s nearly impossible to lasso one Trickle while others are nearby, so kill all but one in a swarm and lasso the remaining creature.

Mito Slime

Slarragon Forest, Chuggler’s Swamp, and Cliffs of Abaddoon

These are the green slimes that leave trails of slime and often attack in droves anytime you’re nearby.

Shoot the larger slime to break it into smaller Mito Slimes. You can’t capture the larger ones, but once they’re broken down, lassoing them is a breeze.

Typically near regular Raccocco as their protector.

You can also catch the Alpha Raccocco easily enough, but just be sure you haven’t attacked any of the Raccocco nearby first, lest it become aggrressive.

Hognork

Cliffs of Abaddoon

Core part of the Stellaris Prime storyline and cannot be skipped.

Shoot the weak spot inside its mouth to stun it, then use your lasso to capture the Hognork.

The more of each creature you capture, the more effective your ability to research them back at the base. While the Hognork is caught at an S-rank, you’ll need to capture multiples of certain creatures to increase their rank for research.
