Summary
Magic: The Gathering (MTG)has such a wonderful community and there’s no better place to find them than at MagicCon. This is an official convention entirely focused on MTG, organized by Wizards of the Coast. MagicCon always has plenty of exclusive products for fans to go wild over, but luckily, one of the best is available for purchase from anywhere in the world.
The Festival In A Box gives you not only a sweet exclusive Secret Lair drop but also a couple of promo cards alongside a Mystery Booster 2 box. The 2025 boxes are shaping up to be some of the best and, following the Chicago MagicCon the next stop is Las Vegas with its Festival In A Box being filled with excellent cards.
The card’s estimated prices have been taken from the average Market Price across all of their previous printings onTCGPlayer.
7All-You-Can-Eat-Buffet (Festival In A Box: Las Vegas 2025 Promo)
Estimated Value – $0.50
This non-legal card continues the trend that the Festival In A Box 2025 has loved doing and that is creating a humorous fake test card with an obsession with Food Tokens. If you have any knowledge of MTGs rules, you may have forgotten all about Food Tokens as they are rarely ever used on any card for anything worthwhile, but this enchantment card makes the top card of your library into a Food Token at all times.
If you were to actually take this card seriously and try and use it, you may end up in a game that makes no sense, with fuzzy rulings on how its mechanics work. We wouldn’t want anything else from a card that is exclusive to a product made for the most die-hard MTG fans and this card is a nice way for anyone to get a piece of this box for their collection without spending too much.
6Liesa, Shroud Of Dusk (Rare Secret Lair Drop, 1961)
Estimated Value – $1.68
Stay on trend with this Secret Lair drop reprint of Liesa, Shroud Of Dusk. This Orzhov (white/black) legendary creature Angel is all about reshaping the tax mechanic in Commander, changing mana costs into life costs when recasting spells and punishing your foes every time they cast spells. With only two reprints of this powerful card being released until this one, it’s great to see another come storming on into the scene. This card has such beautiful art of Liesa as a fashion diva, easily making it the best print.
This and all the other Secret Lair drop cards in this box are part of the Slay The Day drop, which has some of the serious warriors of MTG serving up some fabulous fashion. All the cards are drawn by Craig Drake, who has done a wonderful job making each of the characters featured look like models ready to strut down the runway.
5Sythis, Harvest’s Hand (Rare Secret Lair Drop, 1963)
Estimated Value – $3.82
Strutting on her way through Las Vegas and coming to you through the Festival In A Box, this reprint of Sythis, Harvest’s Hand is an incredible card that can add some glitz and glamour to any collection. Sythis, Harvest’s Hand, is a great legendary creature that can give you additional draw power by drawing one card and gaining one life every time you use an enchantment.
With countless enchantment synergies by her side, she can easily be a massive threat to your foes, especially as a commander in the Commander format, and her ability is strong, despite its simple design. Sythis, Harvest’s Hand has never gotten any alternate printings and so this one is very exciting to receive and, considering how incredible the artwork looks, even if it ever gets another variant print, this one will likely stay on top of the competition.
4Marwyn, The Nurturer (Rare Secret Lair Drop, 1960)
Estimated Value – $5.72
Marwyn, The Nurturer, is aramping-focused greenElf Druid legendary creature who is great at scaling rapidly into a tough offensive wall. Many underestimate this card, but she has the power to be one of your very best creatures. Every time an Elf you control enters the battlefield, Marwyn gains +1/+1, which can ramp fast, thanks to her being able to also be tapped to give green mana equal to her strength, making her a nasty addition to any Elf kindred deck.
This card is actually quite illusive despite being printed in several sets, such asDominaria, since many players overlook it despite having decent potential in green mana Rampdecks. This gorgeously illustrated reprint will have more eyes watching out for her striking arrows as Marwyn gathers her Elf fans for a quick glorious photo shoot. The stunning simplistic background against the pleasant colors makes the art of this card standout even more, as nothing more than an exceptionally beautiful print of a card that deserves more love.
3Oloro, Ageless Ascetic (Mythic Secret Lair Drop, 1962)
Estimated Vlaue – $29.29
He finally got up out of his chair! Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, is an Esper (white/blue/black) legendary creature who has seen quite alot of popularity as a powerful life-gain-centered card who can recover ridiculous amounts of life for you every turn. That’s not all, as he also drains your opponent’s life away, and he is a beloved commander to many. In this reprint he’s getting ready for his cover photo in the battlefield’s favorite legendary creature magazine.
Compared to the only other artwork Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, has, this card is like night and day. Oloro himself looks fabulous in the light and the style Craig Drake has used makes him look both fierce and like a style legend and, understandably, life-gain-focused decks will need to add this card to their decks for some much-needed extra glamour in their iconic Esper commander.
2Ugin, The Spirit Dragon (Festival In A Box: Las Vegas 2025 Promo, 1)
Estimated Value – $34.24
The great Ugin is one of the MTG world’s most powerful planeswalkers to ever live and many of his cards reflect that power with might and dominance. Ugin, The Spirit Dragon is one of his most iconic, being a powerful presence in many Ramp-focused decks and a legend of the Commander format with board-clearing powers that are unmatched.
This promo card features the same classic art by Raymond Swanland that featured on the Ugin, The Spirit Dragon card from Fate Reforged, but now it comes complete with a retro frame. Cementing its legacy with this wonderful vintage border and the fitting classic MTG artstyle, this card looks straight out of the ’90s. Since Ugin, The Spirit Dragon is such a legendary card with little reprints, it’s great to get one that is nostalgic perfection.
1Sliver Hive (Festival In A Box: Las Vegas 2025 Promo, 2)
Estimated Value – $97.28
This card is a once in a blue moon event as finally Sliver Hive is getting another reprint. Silver Hive is a key piece of a variety of Sliver Kindred Storm decks and is quite popular in Commander, being an important land that can provide mana of any color for Sliver spells. It is also able to create Sliver creature Tokens, but the card has been nearly impossible to obtain for almost a decade since its first release.
Sliver Hive has only ever received one other reprint and that stunning extended artSecret Lair versionwas not easy for the hungry Sliver fans to obtain and now goes for an extreme price. Many assumed that it would be a part of the Sliver-themed drop asthe bonus card, but it was instead randomly inserted into other drops that were released around the time. That means, for the first time in almost a decade, there is a product where fans can guarantee getting a Sliver Hive, now with a retro frame, and this card will be a reason many need to pick up this box.
