How To Meet Bodhi

Bodhi is the physical embodiment ofa time capsule dating back to the 1980s. And being a time capsule of a home owned by someone much younger than the 80s, it stands to reason that he is not owned by the protagonist is this game. And as a result of that, is not anywhere you would logically expect in the game.

For all intents and purposes, Bodhi is hidden away. Logical for a time capsule, not quite helpful if you want to meet him. To find him, you’ll have tofind access to the crawlspace beneath the house. you’re able to access this from the boiler room connected to your home office. In here, there will be a rug on the floor you can roll up, revealing a hidden trapdoor.

Location #1

The very first place you’ll find Bodhi is in the Living Room, placed precariously on the arm of the sofa. Chat with him here to let him reminisce about the past, and all the TV shows he used to watch back then. The concept of streaming is odd to him, and the mass deluge of content that is available. ‘Content’, as he calls it himself, rather than the more intentional media of the 1980s.

On this cheerful conversation on the general downturn in the quality of media, Bodhi leaves for another part of the house. You can chat with him again tomorrow.

Location #2

The next time you find Bodhi, he is chilling outin your office. you’re able to find him sat, still precariously,on a shelf near the windowbeside all your books. Interact with him now to start a conversation about everyone’s favourite topic - the internet. The mass access to information, the attitude of people on the internet, the instant connectivity. It’s all so much to take in.

Bodhi’s not opposed to it by any means, he just thinks its quite a lot to take in. That said, he thinks it is a great way for communities to connect, like the ‘elgibbityquoi’, in his words. At least he’s an ally. Or maybe even a member. Find him in the next part of the house to continue this conversation.

Location #3

The next time you meet Bodhi, it’s in somewhere a bit more personal -your bedroom. He will be located, precariously once again,on your bedside locker. Strike up a conversation with him now, only to be hit with the silent treatment. Not by merit of anything you have done, but as a result of what he learned. Turns out, a lot of things in the 1980s sucked pretty hard, actually.

Dismayed at so many of his icons turning out to be horrendous criminals and the growth of mass environmental destruction and the death of many minorities, Bodhi is dismayed as being an embodiment of that era.Make sure to comfort him on this. He is from that era, but he isn’t the whole era himself. He is his own person, and he can be better than any of the negatives. Uplifted a bit, you may continue this conversation another day.

Location #4

For our next conversation, Bodhi returns somewhere a bit more familiar. Back in the living room, he is nowresting on the mantlepiece of the fireplace, facing towards the piano. For one, it is sad rather comfortably up there. Feeling better after your last conversation, he has decided to embrace elements of the modern day while still celebrating the parts of the 80s that haven’t been ruined. Both can exist together.

To showcase some of his favourite artists of the 80s. They, um, aren’t exactly great people either, but maybe it’s better to let Bodhi down easy with this one. He’s a very loving guy, just a bit clueless in some regards. But finally, he has found comfort in this modern world.

For our very last conversation with Bodhi, we’re returning to the bedroom. He doesn’t have any grand statements about the world or anything right now, just his general outlook on how he feels, about this new world, his old one, and how they both coalesce to make him a bigger, better person.

This is also your chance to confess to Bodhi how you feel about him. If you’ve been playing your cards right, then this is the perfect chance to confess your love, and he might just too.

After this,Bodhi remains permanently on your bedside locker.
