Mount Vulkano is a late-game optional destination forMetaphor: ReFantazio. You’ll have a couple of reasons to head here: either for a Eupha Bond quest, or a wholly unrelated side quest. In truth, you’ll likely end up doing both. As such, you’ve got plenty of opportunities to familiarize yourself with the enemies who lurk within.

Our guide on Mount Vulkano’s a swift one - its purpose is to get you familiar with those enemiesahead of time. We’ll cover the party loadout that served us best, and offer some advice on handling not just the foes haunting these fiery and cavernous depths, but the boss who awaits Eupha if you’re here on Summoner’s business.

Character And Archetype Advice

Theprotagonist, Hulkenberg,Junah, andEuphaare good choices for Mount Vulkano. Having a couple of characters who can cast some strong spells is a good idea here; obviously, Junah and/or Eupha will fit the bill.

TheWizardwould work well for the protagonist; Hulkenberg should focus onCommanderorGeneralfor valuable buffs galore. Junah just needs spells - simple as that - and Eupha should, predictably, be aSummoner.

Enemies at Mount Vulkano are variouslyweak to Ice, Electric, and Light.Centering your layout around these is a prime idea; having someone withWindcoverage for one particular enemy is a less important, but no doubt welcome, goal.

One last piece of advice:have access to Hex-healing methods. Trust us, this isgoingto come up at least a couple of times.

If you’re here forEupha’s Mount Vulkano quest, then a boss awaits you:Mad Sanctor Hyperic. Hyperic hasno affinity weaknesses, nor strengths, meaning everything goes - but nothing goes especially far.

Keep the party we recommended: the protagonist, Eupha, Hulkenberg, and Junah. For the most part, have them do as we previously suggested; however, there’s more leeway for the protagonist here, becauseyour chief goal is to inflict one-time weaknesses on Hyperic over and over again.

You’ll do so through Junah’sMasked DancerArchetype. Hyperic’s defenses aren’t all that much to write home about, so justfocus on inflicting weaknesses that your protagonist and Eupha are best-equipped to deal major damage with.

Keep buffing the team with Hulkenberg to maximize the offensive output. Hyperic isLevel 65, so he’s a highly capable damage-dealer of his own. But, by the time you head out for this quest, your own levels ought to be sufficient, even if they’re on the somewhat lower side, in order to match wits with him in spades.
