Summary
Elden Ring Nightreignis with us,and it’s dividing opinion. While the gameplay has been heavily praised, some of the choices made byFromSoftwarehaven’t gone down well with the community, especially how it’s handeled multiplayer.
Put simply, the game very much feels like it’s meant to be played as a trio. Unfortunately, the matchmaking is pretty grimif you’re queueing with a buddy, so you might be tempted to go it solo instead. While this does lower the difficulty a bit, it doesn’t seem to be enough, as many feel that Nightreign is just too punishing without a team.
FromSoft is aware of this, and says that balance fixes will be rolled out for solo runs next week. However, in the meantime, the community has us covered, with multiple mods that aim to make solo runs more viable.
Here’s How You Can Make Elden Ring Nightreign Easier When Playing Solo
Over on Nexus, you can downloadEasy Modby Neverstops577 andBetter Player Scalingby Keiran1925. If you want to throw them together, JSilverHand64 has done just that withReally easy for solo players. Ultimately, these mods aim to rebalance the difficulty, which is particularly helpful if you’re playing alone.
To use mods, you’ll either have to play solo or access multiplayer through the seamless co-op mod, otherwise, you risk a ban. The seamless co-op modalso allows you to play as a duo.
For those of you on console - or who just don’t want to faff about with mods -an official fix should be with us soon. FromSoft is aware of the issue, with Patch 1.02 set to introduce big fixes and “improvements” for solo runs. We don’t know what the improvements are just yet, but given the feedback that FromSoft has no doubt been receiving, it sounds like things will get a little easier soon enough.
