The main reason for the bad reviews was the lack of a duos mode, because we all know how hard it is to find a third friend. However, the fact that solo mode was just too difficult also aggravated the issue becausethe game is fundamentally made for three players.
However, with FromSoftware making some changes to solo mode and promising a duos mode,all’s fine in Limveld. With the game’s experimental roguelike formula, you’ll have to level up and find helpful items along the way. While leveling up to max is a waste of Runes, it seems that there’s an exploit that can duplicate items in Nightreign.
Elden Ring Has An Item Duplication Exploit
Discovered by the folks over atPC Gamer, this exploit will allow your whole crew to rock the same powerful weapons or items before going into a boss fight. Unfortunately, it requires a lot of coordination and a full party of three, so you’ll need to gather the gang if you want to pull this exploit off. The exploit works with weapons and talismans, but it’s unclear if it works with resurrection items.
First, one person will need to drop the item that you want to be duplicated. The two others need to stand ready to pick up the item at the exact same time while having a spare inventory slot. The session host can be responsible for the countdown. If the timing is correct, the item will appear in both inventories. Repeat the process again to give everyone the item.
While this does seem like a great exploit, the fact that weapons and talismans work better with certain Nightfarers may make this exploit moot. However, if it does work with other items, especially ones that resurrect you, it could be a great way to beef up your team before a boss fight. Just ensure you try it in the room before a boss fight so you aren’t attacked while attempting this exploit.
