Summary
Elden Ring Nightreignmay bea smash hit in terms of player numbers and sales, but the game isexperiencing a bit of a backlash at the moment. One of the reasons is the lack of duos support in the game, as FromSoftware somehow thought that people would either want to play with two friends or on their own, and that the ludicrous idea of playing with just one other person wassomething that the developer “overlooked”.
Unsurprisingly, quite a lot of people out there don’t seem to have two friends at the ready that are down to play, so many Elden Ring Nightreign players are currently being forced to pair up with a random person. It’s not exactly ideal in a game like Elden Ring Nightreign to have half your team communicating while one other player toddles off on their own.
Elden Ring Nightreign Already Has Unofficial Duo Support Thanks To Modders
Thankfully, modders have once again stepped up when official developers are off the ball.Uploaded to Nexus Mods earlier this week, a creator called Yui has already put together a seamless co-op mod for Elden Ring Nightreign, which will allow you to play with either one or two other players, with promises that the mod will be expanded in the future.
Yui states in the mod’s description that while Elden Ring Nightreign lacks two-player support, the mod will stay in its current state, though we can likely assume lobbies with even more players will be worked on once that day arrives. For now, if you’re looking to play with just one other friend or loved one, you can’t go wrong with this mod.
It seems to be pretty easy to install too, as all you actually need for two-player is this one mod, and you don’t even need to uninstall it if you want to connect to FromSoftware’s official servers. Just be aware that there’s a chance you could get a ban if you actually attempt to use this mod while connecting to random people.
