The Slormanceris an ARPG with an infinite number of potentially viable builds. From attribute points and equipment to Slorm Reapers and skill customization, The Slormancer has tons of options for building out your character in any way you choose.

The game has three different classes, each with three Specializations that unlock at level 10. These Specializations let you customize your build even further, providing a unique skill and accompanying skill tree. Below, we’ll take a look at each of The Slormancer’s classes and Specializations so you can better choose which one you want to play.

The Mighty Knight

The Mighty Knight is your typicalsword-wielding melee fighter, boastingdecent attack and high defense. He gains access to melee attacks like Mighty Swing, Cadence, and Whirlwind, and ranged attacks like Wood Stick, Throwing Sword, Crest Shield, and Elder Lance. The Mighty Knight can also use Grappling Hook to pull himself to an enemy.

Totems

Key Mechanics

Skewer: Skewering an enemy causes them to take an additional hit of damage worth 10% every time you hit the Skewered enemy again. An enemy can be Skewered a maximum of five times.

Support Skill

Banners of War: Place down a random Banner of War that lasts for 8 seconds. Casting a Skill within the Banner’s range will cause it to deal an additional hit of damage to a random enemy.

The Distinguished Knight Specialization builds on the offensive strengths of its base class with its Support Skill, Banners of War. This skill randomly drops a banner that buffs you or debuffs enemies. Through its skill tree, you’re able to improve the effectiveness of your banners and buff your offensive and defensive stats.

The Distinguished Knight is anoverall reliable Specializationfor the Mighty Knight thatimproves all of his capabilities, and lets you create builds centered around a number of different attributes, like damage, defense, or support, making it themost versatile of the Knight’s Specializations.

Areas of Effect

Fortunate and Perfect Casts: While in combat, Luck will increase, stopping at 25, 50, 75, and 100. Whenever your Luck stops at the 25, 50, or 75 thresholds, your next cast will be Fortunate, triggering an additional effect. Whenever your Luck stops at 100, your next cast will be Perfect, and will trigger its Fortunate effect as well as an additional Perfect effect. Additionally, every stack of Luck increases your Max Raw Damage by 1%.

Astral Retribution: Whenever you trigger an Astral Retribution, an Astral Sword will fall onto a random enemy, dealing damage. If you trigger an Astral Retribution while your Luck is at 100, an Astral Meteor will fall instead.

Block: Whenever you take a hit of damage, you have a chance to Block it, equal to the number of stacks of Block you have. Blocking an attack reduces its damage by 90%, and halves your current Block stacks.

Ascension: Jump into the sky and land at the targeted location, dealing damage to nearby enemies.

The Haphazard Championrelies on luck to defeat his enemies. His Support Skill is Ascension, which simply deals damage in an area, but through its skill tree, you may modify it in a number of ways. One of the key components of the Haphazard Champion isAstral Retribution, which triggersadditional hits of damagewhen triggering more specific skills.

If you like the idea of yourskills triggering other skills, covering your screen in a variety of different effects at random, choose the Haphazard Champion.

Tenacity

Deflect: Create an Impenetrable Shield around you that nullifies damage. Whenever you nullify a hit of damage with Deflect, you trigger a Counter Technique toward the attacker,dealing damage.

The Enduring Protector is adefensive powerhouse. Using his Support Skill, Deflect, the Enduring Protector cannullify damage and reflect it back to the attacker, which can then trigger a variety of effects. The Enduring Protectorsacrifices Raw Damage for pure defense, but can still take out enemies using effects likeThorns,Deflections, andAstral Retribution.

If you want to become atank that can’t die, the Enduring Protector offers just that.

The Mischievous Mage

The Mischievous Mage is anot-so-stereotypical spellcasterof The Slormancer’s class trio, using a variety of spells to blast through enemies. Through his level-ups, the Mischievous Mage gains access to ranged spells like Arcane Missile, Rift Nova, Arcane Breach, and Orb of the Arcane Master.

However, the Mage also has access to a fewmelee skills, letting you build in that direction if you want. These include Book Smash, Chrono-Puncture, and Attunement Pulse.

Crowd Control

Emblem: Each Mage skill belongs to one of three schools, Arcanic, Temporal, or Obliteration. When casting a skill, you gain an Emblem from the same school as the spell, granting different effects depending on how many Emblems you have. you may have a maximum of three Emblems at once.

Time-Lock: Time-Locked enemies are unable to move or attack for 3 seconds, and damage dealt to them is instead delayed until the Time-Lock ends.

Wall of Omen: Create a wall at the targeted location that lasts for 6 seconds. Enemies that pass through the wall are slowed by 40%, and enemy projectiles that pass through have -90% Reduced Projectile Speed.

The Devoted Scholar offers amix of offense and defense, using a variety of spells and Emblems to provide different effects in combat.Wall of Omen is a powerful defensive toolthat can be upgraded to provideoffensive support, increasing the speed of your projectiles that pass through or causing it to deal damage to enemies when they pass through.

If you want an all-around approach to your Mage, choose the Devoted Scholar Specialization.

Mana Regeneration

Remnants: Remnants are a version of a skill that is weaker than its normal version, but are cast at the same time. They deal 50% reduced damage and can’t trigger effects like Ancestral Strikes or Forks.

Temporal Clone: A clone of you that doesn’t do anything on its own, but can be used by other skills.

Time Warp: Summon a Temporal Clone where you are and teleport toward the targeted location. The Temporal Clone will last for 8 seconds and will disappear after being hit.

The Phlegmatic Caster is able toimprove his damagethrough a number of different buffs, but takes a bit ofinvestment to make Temporal Clones useful. By default, they don’t do much, but nodes on theTime Warpskill tree likeClone Warslet them provide extra damage, whileOut of Timemakes them unable to be hit or targeted, letting them survive for their full duration.

If you want a Mischievous Mage Specialization thattakes a bit of investment to get up and running, but has the potential to deal massive damage later on, choose the Phlegmatic Caster.

Mana Restoration

Arcane Bond: A status effect that deals damage over time to its target equal to 100% of the Mana you’ve spent during each second, plus 15% of your Max Mana.

Arcane Clone: A clone that lasts indefinitely and repeatedly casts the same skills as you, but with -35% Attack Speed.

Arcane Barrier: Channel the skill to create a barrier in front of you that catches enemy projectiles. When a projectile is caught, it triggers a Remnant of Arcane Missile. When you finish channeling the skill, all caught projectiles are fired back to their source.

The Arcane Commander relies onArcane Clonestomirror your spells, barraging the enemy with Arcane attacks. This Specialization isextremely versatile,as the Arcane Clones willrepeat the same skills as you, so you may take your build in a number of different ways. Plus, with theArcane ChieftainandArcane Kingnodes in Arcane Barrier, you can have a total of three Arcane Clones active at once.

Choose the Arcane Commander if you want the most versatile Mischievous Mage that also provides aminion master playstyle.

The Fierce Huntress

The Fierce Huntress is mostly along-range attacker, but she has access to several different melee skills as well, mostly revolving around theRavenous Daggereffect. Her ranged skills involve firing a variety of arrows, including an arrow thatautomatically seeks out enemies.

Elemental Damage

Serenity: A gauge that flips betweenTormentedandDelighteddepending on how you use your skills. When you cast a skill that is different from the previous one you cast, your Serenity is lowered by 2 toward Tormented. When you cast the same skill in a row, your Serenity is instead increased by 1 toward Delighted. Each stack of Serenity increases Attack Speed by 2%, and each missing stack of Serenity (out of 12) grants +1% Cooldown Reduction.

Poison: A debuff that deals damage over time.

Turret Syndrome: Summon a Ballista that targets nearby enemies with arrows.

The Architect of Death uses a number of differenttools for any situationshe may find herself in. Her Support Skill, Turret Syndrome,fires arrows at nearby enemies, providing a minion-based playstyle. This Specialization also makes use ofTrapsto control the battlefield.

If you want a playstyle reminiscent of an engineer, usingdifferent tools for different situations, choose the Architect of Death.

Tormented: You are Tormented when your Serenity is 0.

Ravenous Dagger: An interactable object that is created on the ground from certain skills. Walking over a Ravenous Dagger will activate it, triggering Ravenous Swirl, which causes several daggers to spiral out, dealing damage.

Tumble: Move in the targeted direction. When you land, you gain Assassin’s Haste, increasing Evasion Multiplier by +50% for a duration.

The Sharpshooter of the Wild Specializationbuilds on the Firce’s Huntress’s long-range playstyle, using fast, powerful arrows to take down enemies from afar whileavoiding damage with Tumble. Tumble can also be upgraded to bring Ravenous Daggers to you, allowing you to more easily trigger them where you land.

The Sharpshooter of the Wild is mainly focused onincreasing damage dealt while avoiding it with Evasion. If you want ahigh-risk, high-reward playstyle, choose this Specialization.

Inner Fires

Delighted: You are Delighted when your Serenity is 12.

Smoke Screen: Drop a cloud of smoke that makes you Invisible for 3 seconds or until you deal damage. The next skill you cast deals increased damage.

The Mist-Walkerimproves the Fierce Huntress’s melee capabilities, mainly through theRavenous Daggermechanic. With this Specialization, you can easily create Ravenous Daggers around the battlefield, thentrigger them all at once with Ravenous Ballet.

If you want your Fierce Huntress to play more like atraditional rogue, moving in and out of the shadows and striking with high-damage attacks, choose the Mist-Walker.
