The extended gameplay trailer for Dying Light: The Beast gave us our best look yet at how it’s going to play, which is, unsurprisingly, very close to the other Dying Light games. The highlight of the reveal is that it’s coming on August 22, which means that we’re not far at all from reuniting with Kyle Crane.
Dying Light: The Beast Release Date Revealed
Dying Light: The Beast will be bringing back the game’s original protagonist, Kyle Crane, but he’s not the same as you remember. This version of him was captured and experimented on for years, so we’re going to see a much darker side of the character. However, there will still be some version of the Crane we remember somewhere in there.
We also got a look at the feature that gives the game its name, The Beast. Thanks to the experimentation, Crane can activate a sort of berserk mode that boosts his damage and fortifies his health. It also does away with any weapon he has, instead choosing to throw hands with monsters and men alike. You can also throw rocks and execute deadly finishers in this mode. There’s also a skill tree to unlock more abilities.
