Dying Light 2 Is The Key To All Of This
Taking to Reddit, Techland’s community manager outlined just how The Beast could be obtained for free, and it all largely stems fromDying Light 2, which was released in 2022.
To start, if you purchased Dying Light 2: Stay Human Ultimate Edition, you’ll get The Beast, no strings attached. It’ll automatically appear in your library with no additional steps needed. Because The Beast was originally planned as a DLC for Dying Light 2, Techland is essentially honoring that, even if The Beast itself has morphed into its own standalone.
Not only will you receive The Beast, but you’ll also get the pre-order bonuses, which is a nice little cherry on top of an already amazing gesture. Beyond already owning the Ultimate Edition, if you happen to have upgraded your base copy of Dying Light 2 via the Ultimate Upgrade pack, then you, too, will also get The Beast for free.
As a final note, if you are interested in having the Deluxe Edition of The Beast, you’ll be able to pay for an upgrade after its launch. Due to technical issues, you won’t be able to upgrade to that version before the game’s August release. Either way, it’s a massive bonus for those who supported the studio way back in 2022.
