Dune: Awakeningperfectly reflects what life would be like on Arrakis.Sand seemingly getting everywhere, sandworms coming up to turn you into lunch, and enemies attacking you even though you’re not in it for the PvP. It seems that griefers are now using creative ways to target players who aren’t even in the PvP zone.

TheDeep Desert endgame has been one of the most divisive thingsabout Dune: Awakening. Players who don’t wish to engage in PvP battles don’t have much to do in the endgame. Funcom is finallypreparing to address this issue, as can be seen in its test server, but it seems griefers are more adamant than Shai-Hulud itself.

Dune: Awakening’s Griefers Are Now Targeting PvE Players Too

Over on the game’s subreddit, players have been complaining about griefers and a lack of PvE endgame material for a while. But things only seem to be getting worse as these griefers are now attacking those in PvE areas, using some creative but annoying strategies.

“Pretty ridiculous. I’ve seen this happen twice in a night while scouting, a harvester/carry-all gets jumped in the PvE zone and ran into the ground till a worm eats it. This is day one of the new meta folks,” reportedxxTRYxxHARDxx. “I get that this is griefing, but this stands to show that cohabitation of PvP-ers and PvP-ers is improbable when making something fundamentally unfun becomes the alternative.”

“Not surprising, I was flying in [Deep Desert] PvE zone and someone tried to force me to the ground,” said one of the comments. “They were really shit, even though they were scout and I was assault I managed to outmaneuver them and escape, but I was still confused. The salt on my server in DD today has been off the charts.”

In the absence of players todrop their ornithopters on to, it seems these griefers have come out of their caves and have found ways to bother those who prefer playing PvE. Since direct battle is not allowed in PvE zones, they’ve had to resort to such annoying tactics. Hopefully, Funcom will be able to find a more permanent solution for these issues.
