Dragon BallGekishin Squadra only just started its open beta, but that hasn’t stopped fans from saying that it does one thing much better thanDragon Ball: Sparking Zero- customisation.
Despitehow much it seems like Dragon Ball fans have turned on Sparking Zerosince it launched last year to rave reviews andrecord-breaking sales, it’s hard to argue that it’s one of the best games in the whole franchise.Even as a staunch Sparking defender, there are a few things that it definitely could have done better.
Post-launch support and more game modes instantly come to mind, but perhaps the most infamous issue with Dragon Ball: Sparking Zerois its barren customisation options. Before launch, we were promised tons of options to customise our characters, which strangely only ended up resulting in a few alternate outfits and accessories- it looks like Gekishin Squadra won’t be making that mistake.
Gekishin Squadra’s Customisation Is Already Better Than Sparking Zero, And It’s Not Even Out Yet
There’s A Bit Of A Caveat To The Success, Though
Earlier today,Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra (which you might know under its previous name, Project Multi) started its latest open beta, which finally gives console players the chance to try the game out. Beyond being a great MOBA in its own right that seems to be plenty popular already,Gekishin Squadra has seen a lot of praise for its suite of customisation options.
Every single character in Gekishin Squadra has a bunch of alternate outfits, from simple recolours to totally new fits. A quick glance at the shop shows that Gekishin already has highly-requested outfits that Sparking Zero didn’t, such as Piccolo’s driving outfit, Vegeta’s Badman shirt, and Goku’s island shirt.
Of course, this has led to a lot of comparison between the two, withfans pointing out all over Twitter how much better Gekishin’s wardrobe is than Sparking Zero. This might seem a little unfair considering the two are completely different games, but fans have been begging for some content updates to Sparking Zero for months now, seemingly to no avail.
Sparking Zero’s customisation rattled fans so much that nearly all of the expectedoutfits have been modded into the game in some form or another.
There is a bit of a caveat to Gekishin’s success, though. As you can probably guess, most of Gekishin’s outfits have to be purchased with a unique currency instead of being unlocked, which does put a dampener on things. Still, at least players actually have the option to get some more outfits in the game, something that Sparking Zero still lacks.
