Donkey Kong Bananzais finally here, and while some people have already managed to roll credits and plaster spoilers all over social media (thanks for that), others have decided to spend a bit more time with the game, with the game’s Artist mode being a particularly popular place to get the creative juices flowing.
It was only briefly mentioned in the game’s pre-release marketing, as it’s just a fun little mode to mess around with, but Donkey Kong Bananza has an Artist mode that allows you to use the game’s fancy destruction tech to sculpt statues, giving you a blank Donkey Kong head to start out with. Unfortunately for Nintendo, it seems to have once again underestimated just how depraved some of its fans can be.
Donkey Kong Bananza’s Artist Mode Has Already Spawned Some Cursed Creations
We’ll start with the mildest and make our way up, asa Reddit user called Sinestesisrecently shared their recreation of a popular Donkey Kong meme with the game’s subreddit. It’s equal parts silly and impressive to be honest, fully capturing his “come hither” eyes.
We then have people turning poor DK into other characters, with Sans being a popular choice.Twitter user KurrySp1seandReddit user MallouMariowent the Sans route, the latter of which going for a chillingly dramatic reveal.
We now begin to get into the really cursed stuff, asa Reddit user called Mannihorstsaw Donkey Kong Bananza’s Artist mode and thought it was an incredible opportunity to depict the poor guy getting crucified. While not as detailed as previous creations, it’s arguably a lot more cursed and, funnily enough, isn’t the first time that Nintendo fans havedecided to literally crucify one of the company’s characters.
Finally, the one you’ve all been waiting for. It was almost a given that we’d see at least one person make a set of private parts with these tools, anda Twitter user called Deadstokkrecently went viral after their friend used GameChat to show them their Konkey Dong. Here’s hoping that Nintendo doesn’t actually monitor these Game Chat calls that strictly.
