Summary
I admit that dateability is not the first stat that most Dungeon Masters think of when it comes to selecting monsters for combat inDungeons & Dragons. But, if I’m being honest, maybe it should be. That’s right, some monsters in D&D, in my opinion, are actually highly dateable, and I think it’s about time we had that discussion.
So, when you’re next preparing a battle encounter for your Dungeons & Dragons table, maybe try considering one of these highly seductive monsters for the fight. Maybe it won’t prove to be as much fun in terms of combat. But, hey, your players will thank you.

Stare Into Each Other’s Eyes
Look, all I’m saying is that there are plenty of monsters who are misunderstood both in Greek Mythology and in Dungeons & Dragons. Medusas, in my opinion, are one such creature. Medusas are naturally beautiful, and they typically come with their own lair, so, hey, plenty of private space for the two of you.
As for that whole ‘turning into stone thing,’ I think that’s really just a metaphor. Who among us hasn’t caught the gaze of some attractive person and turned away? Next time, hold your gaze, and who knows, you might just find everything you’re looking for in a partner.

Amateur Blacksmithing Demo
Technically speaking, this is less of a monster and more of a magically animated suit of armor, but hey, we love a fixer-upper. Helmed Horrors are typically great bodyguards, though. It’s just nice to feel protected sometimes and cared for.
Plus, a lot of Helmed Horrors are created by their masters to help serve them, meaning that this monster will likely be attentive to your needs. I also can’t help but wonder what’s under the helm. The mystery is intriguing.
Candlelit Dinner
Was there ever going to be a version of this listthat didn’t include a vampire? Absolutely not. What kind of D&D player do you take me for? No, vampires, undoubtedly, are one of the most dateable and attractive monsters Dungeons & Dragons has to offer.
Typically, a good vampire worth their salt will have their own castle, which is nice. I love the idea of dating a homeowner. The only problem would be that you’d have to share them with their other spawn. But I think I could turn them monogamous.

Cuddle By The Fire
I love confidence in a partner, as well as a little bit of edginess. And frankly, that’s what I think I’d get with a planar devilfrom the Nine Hells. Sure, maybe it’d be a little hard to introduce a Horned Devil to my parents, but love conquers all, right?
Plus, according to the Horned Devil’s stat block, they have natural telepathy. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a partner who always knows what you’re thinking? Communication is key after all.

Hike Up Mount Celestia
Devas are angelic messengers in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. I prefer an edgier partner, but hey, there’s something for everyone on this list, and I certainly can see the appeal of a divine warrior like a Deva.
These creatures are naturally beautiful, with glowing eyes and wings. It is worth noting that they can be a bit cryptic at times in terms of speech, which isn’t always ideal in a partner. I don’t want to have to speak in riddles; just tell me what’s on your mind. But those wings sure make a big difference.

Whatever They Want
Succubi and Incubi are classic monsters from the Dungeons & Dragons realm who are naturally seductive by nature. I mean, c’mon, it’s right there in the description. This is an obvious addition to the list.
The only downside to dating a Succubi or Incubi might be the power imbalance. It’s important in a long-term relationship for one partner not to have all the power. But, maybe in this one case, I can make an exception. Don’t come for me.
The Beach
This is basically everyone’s fantasy. There’s just something so naturally appealing about falling in love with Merfolk. It’s like a reverse Little Mermaid, and also the Merfolk can kill you in combat if you’re not careful.
I’m a water sign, so I think that personally, me and a Merfolk would mesh well together. But I understand that the water’s not for everyone. Luckily, most Merfolk can breathe air, too. It just might turn a situationship with a Merfolk into more of a long-distance thing if you’re not really an ocean person.

Stargazing
Empyreans are gorgeous celestial beings that function as scions of the gods. It’s nice to have a partner with a good, stable job. Although sometimes I’d worry that their relationship with their boss might be a bit unhealthy.
Call me toxic, but ultimately, I think the most appealing thing about dating an Empyrean would be the mystery. They’re so aloof and quiet. What could they be thinking? Of course, technically, they are the children of gods, so that might put some pressure on the whole ‘meet the parents’ aspect of the relationship. But I think it’d be worth it in the end.

Dinner and Dancing
Sure, Satyrs are known for being a bit wily and tricky to talk to, always speaking in riddles and conundrums. But, they’re also known for dancing, being great jokesters, and throwing amazing parties in the Feywild. Doesn’t that sound like an ideal partner?
Once you’re able to get past the whole ‘never being sure if they’re telling the truth’ thing, I think a Satyr would make a wonderful partner. Plus, hanging out in the Feywildall the time sounds like a blast to me, so long as you don’t mind slipping through time a little bit in the Material Plane.
Flower Picking
Like Merfolk, this is another one that basically feels like it’s everyone’s fantasy when it comes to dating fantasy creatures. Centaurs are just naturally majestic and attractive. I don’t think there’s anyone who can really resist the allure of these noble monsters.
Plus, they’re naturally good-aligned, which is great. Frankly, a lot of these creatures have somewhat questionable alignments, so I thought it’d be best to end on one monster that’s a little more likely to be nice to you in the long run. I’m not in the business of giving out relationship advice, but in the long run, I see the Centaur as the most dateable D&D monster of them all.
