You’ll also be able to get tons of new devils in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army by confining some of the demons you’re up against in battle, and some of them are pivotal to your success in the earliest hours of Raidou Remastered.
Some of these devils can be confined during the first chapter ofRaidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, while others will need to be fused in the Goumaden. Investigation Skills
Cool Down and Fly
Azumi is one of the first devils you’ll be able to opt into confining in the first chapter ofRaidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, and this long blue boy will come in handy in a variety of situations in Dark Tsukubo-cho, especially toward the beginning of the game.
With the Fly Investigation Skill, Azumi will be able to do all kinds of things from collect hidden loot for Raidou from rooftops or even freeze enemies solid sometimes to get the jump in battle with the Cool Down skill.
Inspect and Sneak
While not the first Volt Order demon you’ll encounter in Alp more than serves her purpose throughout the first chapter of Raidou Remastered The Mystery of the Soulless Army, Koropokkur is the first Volt Order demon you can elect to fuse in the Goumaden – and you should, for a few reasons!
Not only do you immediately gain access to multi-target Volt damage with Mazio, but given its parentage, Koropokkur can learn several Cryo and physical moves upon fusion as well. Pair that with the odd Patra from Azumi to heal ailments and despite being weak to Force, Koropokkur is a force to be reckoned with.
Use Force and Sneak
While you’ll find Raidou himself doing most of your slash damage in combat, it’s never a bad idea to have a Fury Order demon on your side, especially when you’re low on MAG and need a chance to top the meter up with items or weak sword slashes to stunned foes.
This is where Obariyon serves its purpose, with a slew of low-MAG moves on its Combat Skills list to rely on when you need to play conservatively. With moves like Combo to hit multiple enemies with physical damage or Berserker to really lay into a single demon, Obariyon is essential for when Raidou needs a chance to replenish his MAG.
Ignite and Fly
One of a handful of demons on our list able to be healed by taking “damage” from elemental skill attacks of the same Order, you’ll be able to make Jack-o’-Lantern fairly early at the Goumaden after a bit of previous fusion experiments to gain access to a variety of essential skills.
Bufu and Zan can easily be passed down from this demon’s parent devils, as well as Patra to heal status ailments. Pulinpa, which may confuse enemy demons, and Agirati, a three-way Pyro attack, are on the horizon, too, once you level it up a bit.
Cool Down and Allure
One of the earliest higher-level demons you’ll be able to fuse in the Goumaden is Mermaid (provided you did enough grinding with Raidou and your confined demons in Dark Tsukubo-cho or inside the Aril Rift challenges). Because of this spread, Onmoraki can easily become an early pick for your elemental variety demon if you’re choosing to play this way!
There’s merit to having demons that are adaptable to any combat situation Raidou may encounter, but with so few familiars fighting at your side, a loyal demon with access to elemental and strength attacks alongside a slew of Pagan magic and healing skills can be a gamechanger.
Scout and Sneak
The first chapter ofRaidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Armyfocuses quite a lot on introducing you to demons of the Pyro, Frost, and Skill order, since you’ll need these for your investigations. That said, as soon as you’re able to branch out, it’s not a bad idea to begin fusing demons of different Orders.
You’ll find plenty of variety later on, but Poltergeist is one of the very first demons of the Wind Order that you can fuse over in the Goumaden. You’ll gain access to Zan, which deals light Force attack, with multi-target iterations as well as Pulinpa on deck at higher levels.

One of the final demons you’re likely to encounter as you explore through the alleys of Dark Tsukubo-cho is Agathion, a little blue demon in a bronze container that serves as one of the very first Volt Order demons you’ll have access to innately in Raidou Remastered The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
With Pyro the only real threat to Agathion in combat, you’ll find plenty of reasons to grab one of these delightful demons. You can’t progress past the Volt Order Nethergate and into the Tsuchigumo boss fight without without a Volt Order demon, so listen to Gouto and confine an Agathion.
Scout and Fly
Alp more than serves her purpose throughout the first chapter of Raidou Remastered The Mystery of the Soulless Army, but once you’re able to access the Goumaden, consider upgrading your healer to Angel, a Wind Order demon who can provide quite a bit of support both offensively and defensively.
Given this demon’s parentage, Angel has access to Agi and Bufu before ever learning Zan, even as a Wind Order demon. You’ll also notice that Force magic doesn’t damage Angel but instead heals it, making Angel helpful if you can turn enemy’s attacks against them and use them to heal.
