As with every new destination, Kepler has some new weapons to chase inDestiny 2: The Edge of Fate. These weapons use the new gear tier system, meaning that you’ll find progressively stronger versions of these weapons as you increase your Power Level and progress through Kepler’s world tiers.

Six weapons are up for grabs while on Kepler, most of which are surprisingly solid options for PvE and PvP. If you don’t have a large arsenal of weapons or want to mix things up, then chasing these new Kepler weapons is worth your time. Here are the rolls you should keep your eyes peeled for.

Destiny 2 Agape

Agape

Agape is the first two-burst hand cannon we’ve received that deals Solar damage. This gives it some innate synergy with Solar subclasses runningEmber of EmpyreanorEmber of Benevolence. This archetype is ideal forLucky PantsHunters looking to ramp up their damage forEriana’s Vowor mag-dump a boss with a high-damage primary. There are better DPS two-burst HCs than this, but if you’re looking to slay adds, you can’t go wrong withOutlawandMaster of Arms.

For PvP, Agape is a surprisingly strong option if you don’t mind the strange firing pattern of heavy bursts. Flinch is an absolute nightmare on this archetype, so you’ll want to get as much stability as possible on your roll. For perks, we recommend you lean into Solar synergies.Heal Clipwill let you procEmber of Benevolenceif you reload near allies, andEnhanced Precision Instrumentwill bring down the TTK to 0.57s,provided you have a 200 Weapons stator Radiant.

Destiny 2 Giver’s Blessing

Even with these pros, it’s important to remember that this is still a two-burst weapon. If you flinch or miss a bullet, your TTK plummets to the ground. Getting a kill with this weapon requires good game sense and solid aim. If you struggle to use burst hand cannons, Sightline Survey from last year’s Echoes episode will serve you better in almost every circumstance.

Giver’s Blessing

Rapid-fire auto rifles are incredibly fun to use in PvE and can be solid workhorse weapons in low-end content. Fortunately, Giver’s Blessing can getKinetic Tremorsin the second column to help down tougher foes. Pair that withShoot to Loot, and you have a fantastic utility weapon for mid-range encounters.

There are generally better 720 auto rifles to use for PvP, but you can make Giver’s Blessing work.Moving Targetgives you a major boost to your aim assist while ADS, which you can pair withZen Momentto easily track heads during a gunfight. Just don’t fight outside the weapon’s intended range—it only reaches out to 28 meters with a good roll.

Last Thursday

After a nerf to the Weapons stat in PvP, Last Thursday is no longer an absurdly strong pick for the Crucible. However, it canstillachieve a two-burst TTK if you run any damage perk in the second column, notablyElemental Honingsince it lasts so long. Pair it withMoving Targetfor easy headshots.

For PvE, this is an average workhorse weapon at best.DemolitionistandFrenzyis a solid combination for general play, but this weapon will struggle to kill anything over a -10 Power delta without the help ofdifficulty modifiers.

Destiny 2 Sublimation

Precipial

If you’re still using Matador 64 or need a good precision shotgun in the energy slot, you can’t go wrong with Precipial.Threat DetectorwithOpening Shotis a classic combination that continues to excel in today’s sandbox. If you want something more modern,Lone Wolfcan be paired with eitherDiscordorSlideshot. There are a ton of good PvP combinations here; take your pick.

PvE isn’t left out in the cold either.One-Two Punchrolls in thefirstcolumn here, which means you can pair this with a damage or ammo economy perk—Discordis our recommendation, although Destabilizing Rounds is also a good choice. If there’s one gun on Kepler you should be chasing, it’s Precipial. Not many shotguns have a perk pool this good.

Handling

Sublimation

Scout rifles haven’t been meta for multiple seasons at this point, and Sublimation hardly moves the needle on that front. It can getRapid HitandVoltshotfor a decent add clear weapon, but with the existence of special-ammo pulse rifles and rocket sidearms, it’s hard to consider using a scout in the current PvE sandbox.

Crucible players generally avoid 150 RPM scouts unless they have a strong perk combination. You can getMoving TargetandExplosive Payloadfor a decent dueling weapon, but with the current sandbox that has weapons achieving 0.67s TTKs and lower, this just isn’t worth chasing. Don’t bother farming this gun unless you desperately need an Arc scout.

PvP Roll

Ulterior Observation

Ulterior Observation is a 600 RPM Stasis machine gun, functionally identical to Pro Memoria from Final Shape. you’re able to kit this weapon for add slaying withSubsistenceandKilling Tally. For something a little more interesting, you can opt for Headstone and Dragonfly. The explosion of Dragonfly won’t detonate Headstone crystals, but it’s a fun roll for low-tier content.

With that said, if you own the Final Shape, we suggest you get Pro Memoria instead. That weapon is fully craftable and fills the same role just as well.

Crucible players will want consistency above all else.Moving TargetwithDynamic Sway Reductionshould make this a headshot magnet. It’s not quite as strong as Hammerhead or any LMG with an ammo economy perk, but it’s a solid pick nonetheless.
